My posts about the Working Boerboel Group never once mentioned either attack work or changing the existing temperament of the Boerboel. In fact I stated quite clearly "The objective of the Association is to protect the historical temperament of the Boerboel to which not enough attention is being given and to preserve its working qualities into the future"

When I joined EBBASA last year, it was with a definite agenda in mind including the creation of a working group. We were planning the launch of this group for some time. I made the announcement shortly after the ridiculous about turn by the SABT because I believed that the ensuing discussion was going nowhere and I did not want somebody to go off half cocked when I knew that we were going to soon announce a serious initiative.

It is not a marketing exercise and we definitely do not follow the SABT. It is interesting to me that 99% of the Boerboels imported into the USA originate with the SABT. These are the dogs you keep complaining about and these are the dogs you keep buying. Virtually no EBBASA bred dogs in comparison have been brought into the USA.

Most of the EBBASA breeders around the world are not commercial breeders but do it for the love of the dog and their connection with the Boerboel. I have personally given away free to suitable homes as many dogs as i have sold. I have never made a cent out of breeding boerboels and do not to this day. The intention of EBBASA and me in what we do including this initiative is to protect and preserve the breed. It has nothing to do with marketing.

I make this post merely to correct some of the statements made in error by others. As I believe that this discussion is going nowhere productive and is beginning to call not only the integrity of EBBASA but also my own personal integrity into question, I will not trouble all of you any further with my posts. The reaction globally to the Working Boerboel Group has been positive with participants from all continents except one.

I do apologise for having wasted all your time.
