Subject: You made your point, I just disagree

No need to say the same thing again. I understand the "cull the wrong color" idea. I just don't believe breeders of working dogs were...sloppy in breeding allowing accidental crosses, and then culled the dogs that were the "wrong color."

I believe a working dogs is selected for ability, moreso yesterday when a dog HAD TO EARN ITS KEEP than today where people have technology to replace the duties of a dog.

I don't believe all blue "wrong colored dogs" would have been non-performers. Meaning, occationally a working blue dog should have done well, despite its color and the registry would have acknowledged it if it happened.

Apparently these blue dogs were not around...so, I suspect the most likely situation...the dogs were likely outcrossed.

We can agree to disagree if you don't like my opinion...or find several blue boerboels from 15-25 years ago or preferrably even further back than that. It is just WAY WAY WAY WAY MORE LIKELY that this is the case given 1. the need for breeders back then to select for performance and 2. the way people are now producing for looks.
