I see your point. It would be a cool way to stop a jedi using Trek technology.
I was thinking of posting a story about our rpg adventures as a senario. I thought that might be interesting. I posted a thread on TrekGOD's forum about Warp travel in the d20 Star Wars rpg. Interestingly enough abook called Star Trek Star Charts is out. I read anarticle in the latest issue of Star Trek Communicator. Init the author of the book said that in order to acount for some of the inconsistencies of warp speeds he came up with the "Cochrane constant" in some area of space there are subspace eddies like a jetstream that can increase warp speeds by a factor of 1500 times. This goes along well with what I established for my d20 Star Trek/Wars crossover. In which ships use the same basic rules governing Hyperspace travel, but Warp 1 is x25000! Warp 9.975 is x16 and warp 9.999999 is x10. I put 10 as the lowest multiplier. But at warp 9.975 you can travel across the Federation in an hour! At Warp 5 you can get to the Mutara sector in about four days, and its over 600 light-years from earth.
