I got the book about a week ago. It is a very good book and desribes and depicts many things in very reasonable ways. However it seems to be wrong in minor ways, very minor ways though, so it isn't too important. One example is the populations, for Earth it says it is around 4 billion but in one episode I remember it being stated at about 9 billion. Another is the course of the NX-01 Enterprsie, it shows that after the Klingon was dropped off they backtracket and pretty much started from Earth again even though in "Broken Bow" they say something along the lines of, "Are we going home," and Archer says, "It's our job to explore, we're staying out here." The explanation for how Enterprise got to Qo'Nos so increadably fast is very good though, it uses the warp highways explanation.
So I say use it untill utterly contridicted.:)
