Hate to break the bad news to TrekTARD but Turbolasers aren't simply glorified flashlights. You go ahead and stick with PhysicsTARD. Let me break this down for you, If a Turbolaser were in the "real life" Star Trek universe, according to you it would look like this! An idiot Starfleet ensign would say "Sir,their weapons while large and powerful looking, are nothing more than light amplified through the stimulation of emmitted radiation, ancient 20th century technology on a large scale. Our navigational deflector is designed to block that form of EM Field frequency bandwith captian." I even used the long technical explanation just like they would use. Now heres what would happen once negotiations breakdown. The Star Destroyer levels her sights on the Federation starship, and in a awsome light show all the laser light is brilliantlt and harmlessly shunted away from the mighty navigational deflectors. Oops! Did we forget something oh yeah? Hey Star Wars people I think we should let our good little Starfleet captain in on little error his tactical officer just made. Like the 731,500 Petajoules of anti-proton particles that were sheathed in that harmless laser ACB just brought the Structural Integrity of the starship down to about 30%! and 59 more of the same weapon pointed at them.
