um trekies won't. I sited three examples all from the movies alone. Where it was clearly stated via visuals and the scripts that they can sustain a stable Warp field near at least a 1g gravity well. I can't beleive that an Interdictor Class Cruiser can produce a "gravity well distortion" capable of stopping the formation of a sub-space field. Gravity would have little or no effect on the ability to form a Warp Field around the ship. Rebuddle if you want but you arn't going to alter my opinion on this, since the Warp Field has nothing to do with gravity.
