Your right andy, not killing a convict will result in them prowling through your backyard in no time. We actually have a nifty trick called consecutive life sentences with no chance of parole. Not killing a convicted murderer does not mean we would set him free instead, and there is no unlocked front door to a maximun security prison. If you would kill a human being because you are unreasonably afraid of them(even when locked away), then I feel sorry for you, as well as all people that die due to fear and ignorance in the world.
