The female inched to the side, allowing Reaper to have a better view through the narrow mouth of the den. A deep, soft, purr sort of sound escaped her throat, beckoning.

Fuzzy lobes twitched at the familiar sound of their mother. In moments, two Siberian kittens crept from the depths of the cave. They halted some eight feet away from Bella'donna and the male. Though they shared the same size, their colors were remarkably different. One was a dark, deep orange, just a notch darker than his mother. His eyes shared the hue of his hide. He stared at the newcomer unblinkingly. Even in his youth, the stance he took was wary and slightly, dare we say, possessive?
The second baby was the total opposite in color. He was a brilliant orange and had beautiful, crystal-blue eyes. He sat next to his brother, gazing between the unfamiliar male and Bella'donna. Welcome the nightshade dynasty.
