I too was saddened by the NEWS that Isaac Lupari was not considered by Somare due to plain jealousy from two of our selfish leaders.

However, I think it is a blessing in disguise. As pointed out above, it is indeed "mad rush hour" in PNG politics and capable Engans like Mr. Lupari should not grab this false opportunity without foresight. We all know it is election time and the Somare government is doing this insane political maneouvres to leverage its prospects of forming the next government. Obviously it needs highlands Mps support to regain control after elections.

However, if the next government is made up of people other than the current government Isaac Lupari's chances of remaining in that post will be slim as we all know new governments in PNG always come with their own people. Hence it is good that Mr. Lupari is not considered now for that big post.

You can add Fred Punagi on the list. He lost his PNGDF secretary to Stephen, a Tolae block last nite. Sam Abal must have gone to sleep while Sinai Brown gave him a wakeup call.

A lot of promises and assurances by Mr Abal will go well with Fred, I guess?

Good luck to Enga Politics, embanya tange ongo tange, leave politics to the politician???
