I have no idea how much is "right"...and I am sure if you found something that was supposed to be the "right" amount, it would be a very subjective thing since everyone is a different size, age, metabolic rate, etc.

I used to never drink soda of any kind when I was in great shape and dancing (ballet). Then after I got sick and started gaining weight (that was how it all started over 8 years ago) I was tired all the time so I started drinking diet mountain dew for the caffeine. The caffeine in coffee always made me jittery so I couldn't drink that. Well, all that time drinking the diet dew I became absolutely dependant on the caffeine in it. I would get headaches without it, and would be dragging tired. As I made the changes in my diet to lose weight and get HEALTHY a year and a half ago I decided to quit the diet dew. It was hard at first. I started doing the green tea after reading about it. It does have caffeine. I drink over a gallon of fluid a day (that is about 1 oz for every lb I weigh). I start with a half gallon of water in the morning. I drink most of that before breakfast while I am taking my shower, fixing my breakfast and getting my vitamins together, etc. Then I drink a half gallon of green tea which I brew the night before and chill to have it be iced tea. I use 4 tea bags of celestial seasonings lemon zinger green tea and 2 tea bags of celestial seasonings honey lemon ginsing green tea and some splenda for sweetening. I drink the half-gallon of iced tea throughout the afternoon. But the interesting thing is that I have plenty of energy before I start with the green tea, and no problems if I don't drink it. Because of the caffeine in it I stop with that around supper time and switch back to water, other herb teas, or decaf coffee in the evenings. I pour the green tea into bottles I save from arizona brand diet green tea. then I can take it with me when I have to be out and about. I buy the arizona diet green tea when I am out and in a pinch if I can get it...but I like my home brew better.

I don't know if it is making a difference in my wieghtloss or not. I know everything I have read says it does. I like it and it has a lot of antioxidants. I feel very good overall, so I will most likely continue with it.

keep up the good work!
Dreemy
