OK......you know what I mean....you are going along fine and dandy and you think, "I can handle this diet thing...I am doing it"...and then it hits...you feel ravenous...you shouldn't (you tell yourself) you should be full...maybe you just ate a whole dinner...no matter what....but here you are ready to eat the whole kitchen and then some. Maybe you try to find healthy choices to indulge in or maybe you go for something "naughty"...so I ask you....is there anything that stops it, short of gut-stuffing agony of being over-full?? Have you found any answers for yourself?

Well, I have found a few... so here they are....

It usually hits me after supper. Nights are the worst. The kitchen calls to me...all sorts of foods beckon! Some nights are worse than others. Last night was particualrly bad. I really felt like I was out of control. I was pouring myself a bowl of cereal with raisins and I stopped myself and did this instead...

1. I took a 5-HTP capsule (supposed to stop cravings)
2. I ate my half a grapefruit (I eat it with a spoon which makes it take forever to eat it)
3. I ate a huge cucumber, sliced with a little lite olive-oil dressing and then some sugar-free jello
4. I brushed and flossed my teeth
5. I took a melatonin supplement which makes me sleepy

The cravings-ravenous urges stopped...I was calm...I was fine. I didn't gain any weight.

Hope this helps someone else.

hugs,
Dreemy
