Very very slowly, the weight is continuing to come off...bit by bit. It is taking a looonnnggg time compared to the type of progress I used to make when younger when attempting weightloss. I have managed to lose another 4 lbs. further than the lowest point I had reached and been stalled at since mid-February, but this 4 lb loss has been over the course of about 4 weeks. I still am not excercizing like I was previously. The lag bothers me here and there, still. I have taken walks 2 or 3 X per week over the past couple of weeks. They are not power walks by any means. At this rate of loss it will take me another 10 months or so to get to my goal! I figure I have about another 40 lbs to go. Oh well...at least I am crawling along...and I have to remind myself I didn't put this weight on overnight.

I write this as both empathy and encouragement to others, who may be struggling with little or no progress. Don't give up. I went for 11 weeks without losing any weight even though I was trying sooo hard and excercizing (for the first half of that time until I had the calf injury). It felt like trying to chip away away at a stone wall with a toothpick instead of a chisel. It felt hopeless and discouraging and overwhelming. I don't even see the light at the end of this obesity "tunnel" yet....but I can look back and see how far I have come through the rock...towards revealing the person I am inside all the fat.

Love and light,
Dreemdanser
