Sorry it has been a while since I checked in here. Yippee for you and your continued progress toward being the best u can be! U and my daughter are neck and neck with your scale digits. She too has another 10+ to go. I have no idea what I should weigh. I just keep evaluating as I go. I am now only 2 1/2 lbs more than I was at Yule. I can't consider any progress "valid" till I move past that!! LOL! so the losses all spring (since new years) are basically invalid as they are lbs previously lost and then re-gained! But I keep doing the strength-training stuff and things feel firmer and tighter.

I have always had really muscular legs from all the years of dance. I suppose that means that a lot of Lbs are represented in those muscles compared to a skinny-legged woman. If you want to improve muscle tone in your legs there are some really good simple things you can do to tone and shape your gams....for one stand with just the balls of your feet on a bottom step of your stairs and hold the railing. (Stand facing the stairs) stand tall and straight with tummy pulled in. slowly raise up on your toes and then lower your heels as far as you can go. Do about 12 reps to start and increase to 20. Then add ankle weights and start back at 10 or 12, etc.
*for thighs (inner and outer) stand on the floor with toes turned out and heels together. Tuck your butt underneath and pelvic tilt. Keeping your whole back and butt straight do a slow plie and then raise up on your toes. Repeat reps like in the first excercise.
*next do the same thing with feet shoulder-width apart.

These are good for starters and really easy. Let me know how they go. Also, whenever you have to stand for awhile, tighten your butt muscles and hold for a count of 10 then release. Do as many as you want in a row.

hugs and applause!
Dreemy
