Dialogue a big strength here. The "two characters go away on holiday and find each other" plot is as old as the hills, but still sweetly done.
Nice lack of bashing alternative candidates/characters. Would have liked more Giles, but hey, my issues.

Slow to get into, because BX has never drawn me, but despite that I did get into it. Thought it was a very good story and very sexy. Loves the dialogue and romance.
My only complaints were Xander didn't seem like Xander to me, she seemed cool, but altered. But after discussing this with someone, they made the interesting observation that. Spike doesn't seem like Spike to them in most BS stories and so forth. . . Which I found to be and interesting observation
