(Warning... from here on out it's pretty much shipper fluff. I think you'll like it though. This part here, of all the parts I've written, is the most PG-13 of any. But it's still fine. I mean... I wrote it, and I'm 13... LOL!)

"Come up with me," Mac requested, looking into Harm's eyes.

"I'd love to, Sarah," Harm replied, looking back into her eyes. The two of them got out and went up to Mac's apartment, fingers intertwined.

"you can wait here while I change into something more comfortable," Mac told Harm. "Make yourself at home."

Harm settled himself on Mac’s couch. He just sat and waited for her, wondering what she wanted to do... why had she invited him up here, besides the fact that they were in love... rather as deeply in love as you could get. God... Harm didn't know how he'd managed to live without her for near a year after meeting her.

When Mac returned, Harm let out an audible gasp. Apparently, Mac's idea of something more comfortable was a thin-strapped white nightdress.

"Sarah..." Harm gasped. "My God... I've never seen anyone look so beautiful!"

"You know, Sailor, we never got to finish what we started earlier," Mac told Harm, a slight purr in her voice.

"We can do something about that then..." Harm whispered. They drew nearer to each other, and kissed. It was not a demanding kiss at all, it was sweet.

There was something about Mac... Harm didn't know what... but it was different... she wanted something...she wanted... Omigod... Suddenly Harm knew exactly what it was.

"Mac... Sarah... you... do you... are you sure you want to..." Harm stuttered.

"Yes," Mac cut him off with yet another kiss. And then Harm knew she was sure. They stood up, both at the same time, and slowly moved to Mac's bedroom, still kissing all the way.

(I am NOT going to write any more here, you can all figure out what happens. But when the writer is twelve, she doesn't write stuff she can't read herself. BTW, if your worried, don't be. My mom read this story way before anybody.)

Mac opened her eyes. Instead of seeing the other side of her bed as she usually did, she saw Harm sleeping beside her. Mac grinned happily as she remembered their night together. She hoped many more would follow. She was sure that there would be more. Harm loved her, and she knew that for sure.

Mac quietly slipped out of Harm's arms. As she was leaving the room she heard a soft moan. Mac turned to look at Harm. "Good morning, Sailor," Mac greeted.

"Sarah... my God... it wasn't a dream!" he cried happily.

"Nope, it really happened. And I'm hoping it will be repeated in the future too..." Mac sighed.

"You can bet on that! Sarah Catherine Mackenzie, I love you more than anything in the world," Harm declared, pulling Mac into his arms.

"Oh Harm... I love you too!" Mac returned. "But you know... I really could use some breakfast!"

"Well then... let's make some!" Harm grinned. Together, still holding each other, they walked to the kitchen.

"Pancakes, French toast, or eggs?" Mac asked Harm.

"Pancakes sounds good," Harm replied. "If it's okay with you."

"You read my mind," Mac replied.

Both of them carried their present grins all weekend, and they spent the whole time together.

Harm walked into Mac's office.

"Hey sailor!" Mac greeted.

"Hey Marine," Harm returned. "How ya doin'?"

"Well... better since my favorite sailor came to see me," Mac grinned.

"Hey, I've gotta stay a bit late here tonight to work on a case, so why don't you go on home and I'll head over when I'm finished," Harm suggested.

"Okay," Mac agreed. "Just gotta finish up here real quick."

"See you later Mac!"

"Later Harm," Mac replied.

Harm went back into his own office. The Thompson case was driving him crazy! He was supposed to be defending Commander Thompson against charges of first degree murder and the man had absolutely no alibi. As far as Harm was concerned, he was guilty!

Just as Harm was looking through the file again, someone came into his office without knocking. He looked up straight into the eyes of Lieutenant Singer.

"Hey.. look... Harm... I wanted to tell you... I'm sorry I had to prosecute you and all... I mean..." Singer mumbled something about being assigned to the case.

"No hard feelings Lieutenant, you were doing your job," Harm replied, slightly irritated.

"Call me Lauren, please," Singer murmured. She leaned towards Harm and kissed him.
*~*
Across the office, Mac looked out her office window towards Harm's office. She gasped at the sight that met her eyes there. There was Harm - kissing Lieutenant Singer! Mac was furious! After all that they had done together, after all the love they'd shared, after everything they'd been through, she'd thought he loved her more than that. That cheating jerk! How could he?! Mac grabbed her briefcase and stormed out of her office, leaving immediately.
*~*
Harm pulled away from Singer. "Lieutenant!" he exclaimed. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!

"God, Harm, don't tell me you didn't want me," Singer rolled her eyes.

"Lieutenant Singer, if this behavior keeps up, I'm going to report you to the admiral!" Harm exclaimed.

With a look of anger on her face, Singer left his office.

"Hey Sarah, you here?" Harm called as he entered Mac's apartment.

"Hello Commander," Mac said coldly. She looked as though she'd been crying for a very long time. "I'm surprised you didn't go to Lauren's house instead."

"Lauren? Who's Lauren?" Harm asked looking puzzled.

"Don't play dumb with me Harmon Rabb! I saw you kissing her!" Mac accused.

"Lau... oh! Singer! Oh God, Sarah... you didn't think..." Harm put his arm around Mac's shoulders but she shrugged it off.

"Sarah, come here. We need to talk," Harm said, beckoning for her to come off of her bar stool and sit with him on the couch.

Mac did not want to appear too willing to talk to Harm, but she did want to hear his explanation. Reluctantly, she walked stiffly to the couch and sat down opposite Harm.

"Sarah, what you saw this evening obviously wasn't what you though," Harm started.

"Well then what was it?" Mac snapped, tears returning to her eyes.

"I was working in my office, and she came in. Told me she was sorry for having to prosecute me. I told her there were no hard feelings. I hoped she'd go away so I could work on the Thompson case, but then the next thing I know, she's kissing me! I pulled away as soon as it registered in my brain, and I told her I'd tell the Admiral if it happened again," Harm explained. He scooted closer to Mac, who was now crying very much and pulled her into his lap. "God, Sarah, I love you so much, I could never cheat on you! Meeting you was like a dream come true! After all we've been through together, after all the love we've shared, I know now that you are the only one for me."

"Oh God... Harm... I'm so sorry... I just saw..." Mac sobbed. "I know you love me, how could I doubt that? I love you more than I've ever loved anyone, Harm. If I lost you I'd... God Harm, I'd die! Harm if I couldn't be with you, there would be no reason to live."

"Sarah... I know... I feel the same way," Harm pulled her even closer to his body and kissed her softly. They kissed again, only this time the kiss was deeper.

"Dinner," Mac muttered. "We need to make dinner."

"Do we?" Harm asked.

"Yes, Harm," she said, grinning now at his mischievous look. "As much as I'd like to skip dinner and go straight to what comes after, my stomach is telling me it's time to eat!"

Harm laughed and helped her up, and the two of them fixed a vegetarian casserole together.

"Harm?" Mac asked. "Could you please hand me the tinsel? I'm out."

"Certainly, Sarah," Harm replied. He picked up some silvery tinsel and handed her some.

"You know... this is really the first time I've decorated a tree with anyone," Mac told Harm. "We never got to do them when I was a kid. Usually the Christmas tree ended up lying on it's side with the broken ornaments various places in our house."

"Sarah, I'm so sorry you had to go through all that," Harm said sympathetically.

"It's all better now," Mac replied. "After all, I get to spend Christmas with my favorite Sailor."

"And I'll make this one you'll never forget. I love you, Sarah," Harm told her, pulling her towards him.

"I love you too Harm, but if we don't stop all this hugging and kissing, we'll be up too late and Santa won't come!" Mac grinned.

When they had finished decorating the tree, Harm took Mac into what was basically their bedroom (they always spent the night at one apartment or the other).

"Sarah, it's very important that you don't get up until 0800 tomorrow, okay?" Harm asked.

"Okay," Mac agreed. She wondered why, but she knew she would find out soon enough.

"You ARE joining me, aren’t you?" Mac said laying down on the bed.

"Well duh," Harm grinned, settling himself next to her.

Mac got up. It was finally 0800! She walked out of her room and gasped when she got to her living room. Harm was sitting on her couch, holding a small package in his hand. "Come here," Harm said. Mac sat next to him. "You have to open this one first." He handed Mac the package. When Mac opened it, she gasped. Inside, was a diamond engagement ring.

"Sarah Catherine Mackenzie, will you marry me?" Harm asked her, looking into her beautiful eyes.

"Yes, Harmon David Rabb, I will marry you!" Mac answered, smiling more happily than she ever had before. Tears of happiness slid down her face. "I love you." They embraced as Harm slipped the ring onto Mac's finger.

"I love you too," Harm pledged. "And I'll love you for the rest of my life and for whatever comes afterwards."

Harm and Mac got off the elevator. "Ready?" Harm asked Mac.

"Let me set my briefcase down," Mac requested. Quickly she dropped her briefcase off in her office and then set out to the Admiral's office with Harm. It was all to short a walk.

Tiner rang for AJ, and he immediately called for Harm and Mac to come in. Harm and Mac did exactly that. They hid their nervousness (and Mac's left hand) behind military protocol.

"What may I do for the two of you?" AJ asked.

"Sir, actually, the reason we're in to see you is personal," Mac told him, still holding her hands behind her back and attempting to keep emotion from her face.

"Spit it out," AJ demanded. He knew about their relationship even though they hadn't told him. He hoped they were here for the reason he thought they were here.

"Sir, Commander Rabb has asked me to marry him," Mac announced showing him her ring. "And I've accepted."

AJ broke into a smile. "Congratulations Major, Commander!" AJ smiled.

"Thank you sir," Harm took a deep breath. "Sir... I'd like to know... will we both be able to stay at JAG?"

~Warning: not entirely realistic part ahead~

"I'm working it out for Bud and Harriet, I can do it for you too," AJ answered.

"Oh my goodness... thank you sir! You have no idea how much this means to us!" Mac rushed.

"Glad to do it, Major,” AJ replied, glad he'd been able to help his two best officers.

"Sir?" Harm asked uncertainly. "Sir, would you stand up with us at our wedding?"

"I would be honored," AJ accepted proudly. This was getting better for everyone!

"Sir, would you mind if we told everyone now?" Mac wondered.

"As long as no one's away from work for more than ten minutes," AJ replied putting his Admiral-JAG-of-the-United-States-Navy face back on.

"Thank you sir," Harm and Mac said in unison. They stood at attention.

"You're welcome Commander, Major," AJ replied. "Dismissed.

Harm and Mac turned about face and left AJ's office. As soon as they were outside, Mac pulled Gunny aside. "Gunny," she said. "Could you please gather everyone here for us?"

"Yes Ma'am," Gunny accepted the task and went to gather the people.

When everyone was gathered together, Harm cleared his throat and said "I'm sure you are all wondering why we've gathered you here," he begun. "The major and I have an announcement to make." Harm nudged Mac very gently as to cue her.

"We're getting married!" Mac exclaimed.

Harriet was the first to react. "Major that's WONDERFUL!!!!" she squealed.

"I knew you two were perfect for each other," Bud piped up. Many others nodded in agreement.

But Harm and Mac both noticed two people who were not reacting well. They were Lieutenant Lauren Singer and Lieutenant Commander Mic Brumby. Both had angry or upset looks on their faces. When Mic and Singer saw they were being watched, they left quickly and no one noticed but Harm and Mac.

By this time the whole room had broken out into a chatter. AJ actually had to come out of his office to tell them to get back to work! The crowd then deteriorated and Harm and Mac made their way to where Bud and Harriet were standing. "Harriet, I'd like for you to be my matron of honor," Mac requested.

"And Bud, would you be my best man?" Harm asked.

"We'd be honored," Bud and Harriet said at once.

Mac yawned. Harm did not miss her yawn. "Tired already?" he asked her.

"Well... Bud and Harriet's wedding yesterday took alot out of me," Mac replied, trying to shrug it off. "Speaking of weddings... name off again who's in ours for me."

"Well, there's us of course, then there's Harriet, your matron of honor, Bud, my best man, Maria Smyth, your bridesmaid, Admiral Chegwidden, then there's Chloe, the flower girl, and Josh, our ring bearer." Harm recited. (Yes as in Josh Annie's son. Just pretend Harm and Annie get along fine when they're not in a relationship.)

"You're good," Mac told him, stifling another yawn.

"Thanks," Harm replied distractedly. "Are you okay Sarah? You have seemed very tired lately."

"I'm great, Harm.... In fact, I wanted to tell you this afternoon about how great I am," Mac told Harm. Harm laughed. "Whoa... that sounded way too arrogant... Well... why I'm so great? No that doesn't work either... well anyways I have something to tell you."

"How great you are?" Harm guessed. "Cause I know that already."

"No, that's not it," Mac laughed. "But thanks."

"Well then what is it, Sarah?" Harm asked gently.

"Harm... I... I'm pregnant," Mac announced.

"Oh Sarah, that's wonderful!!!!" Harm cried. He reached over and pulled her into a hug. Mac grinned. She had been a bit worried as to what his reaction would be. In fact, she had known for sure for a while now, but had just worked up the courage to tell him.

"I know, I'm so happy, Harm! I always wanted children of my own," Mac grinned.

"How far are you?" Harm asked.

"Seven weeks," Mac replied. Harm studied her.

"How long have you known?"

"About a week," she admitted. "I was a little nervous about telling you."

"why Sarah? You know I want children! I'm behind this 100%!" Harm reassured her.

"I don't know why... I just... I was worried that... that you didn't want a child...yet," Mac stuttered.

"Sarah Catherine, I am proud that you are carrying my child!"

"Thank you Harm!" there were tears of joy in Mac's eyes.

"I love you, Sarah, and I love our baby," Harm whispered.

"I love you too Harm, and our baby of course," Mac returned.

"Harriet!" Mac called. "Good to see you again! How was your honeymoon?"

"It was wonderful, Ma'am," Harriet replied smiling.

"Great!" Mac grinned. "Do you know if Commander Rabb is out of court yet?"

Harriet started to answer but she was interrupted by Harm's arrival. "I'm done for the day," he announced.

"Okay," Mac replied. "Harm, can we talk in my office for a minute?"

"Sure," Harm said. He followed her into her office.

"Shall we announce our little party now?" Mac asked.

"Sounds good to me," Harm replied. "No one's in court now, everyone's here."

"Cool, we'll get Gunny to gather them then," Mac commented.

"Poor Gunny, he's now officially renamed 'Gunny The Gatherer'," Harm laughed. Mac giggled as they left the office to find Gunny.
*~*
When everyone had been gathered together, Harm and Mac surveyed the crowd. Two people were mission, they noticed. Mic Brumby and Lauren Singer. Harm and Mac were both thinking the same thing. 'If they can't be happy for us then who needs them here anyways?'

"Hey everyone, I'm sure you're wondering why we've gathered you here," Mac greeted.

"We're having a little party at that new place downtown to celebrate our engagement. It's going to be Friday night, and we'd love to see you all there," Harm told them all. Everyone started talking at once.

"Notice who didn't show up?" Mac whispered to Harm.

"Brumby and Singer," Harm whispered back. "They're probably tired of our little announcements."

"What would they do at the party?" Mac wondered, laughing.

"Go crazy?" he suggested. "You know... they're going to notice you getting... uh... bigger." Mac looked at him and he could tell she was bothered by the thought of getting bigger. "Of course, I'll think you're beautiful, as always," he reassured her.

"Thank you," Mac said softly. Harm started to say something, but Mac interrupted him. "For everything."

People were chattering all over the place. Suddenly their chatter was stopped by someone tapping on a glass with a spoon. They all looked to see Harm. "Attention please," Harm yelled. The room was silent. "Thank you."

"Harm and I have an announcement to make," Mac said loudly. She smiled as everyone looked at her. "We're going to have baby!"

Instantly loud chatter broke out about the room, this time accompanied by people running up to hug Harm and Mac. People squealed "Congratulations" and asked loads of questions.

Finally the party was over and Harm and Mac could escape the barrage of questions. "You know, Mac," said Harm once they were in the car. "We've been so busy we haven't even told my mother, your uncle, or even Chloe about the baby!"

"You're right!" Mac laughed. "We can call them tomorrow morning."

"Okay," Harm agreed, and they drove off for Mac's place.

"Think it's late enough to call your mom?" Mac asked Harm.

"Yeah," Harm replied. Mac handed him her phone. He took it and dialed the number. The phone rang three times.

"Hello?" answered Trish finally.

"Mom!" Harm greeted. "How are you?!"

"I'm great, Harm, it's good to hear from you again!" Trish cried.

"Mom... do you... of course you remember... well Mac... my partner, my fiancée..." Harm stuttered. Mac laughed from behind him, despite her nerves.

"Yes, of course I remember Mac, she's all you ever talk about," Trish sighed, laughing at her son's obvious nervousness. She was pretty sure she knew what this was about.

"Mom, we're going to have a baby!" Harm announced.

"Oh my goodness, Harm, congratulations!!!!" Trish squealed. "That's great!"

"I know, mom, we're so happy!" Harm told her.

"I bet! How far along is she?"

"Ten weeks," Harm replied promptly.

"May I speak to her?" Trish requested.

"Sure," Harm replied. He handed the phone to Mac. "She wants to talk to you," he whispered as Mac accepted the phone.

"Hi Mrs. Burnett," Mac greeted.

"Hi Mac," Trish replied. "And by the way, my name's mom." Mac's eyes immediately begun to water. Harm wondered what his mother had said.

"Okay, Mom," Mac said softly.

After Harm and Mac had finished their call to Trish, they called Chloe.

"Hello, Chloe speaking," she answered the phone.

"Chloe, it's Mac," Mac laughed. "You sound so mature for being nine!"

"Hi Mac!" Chloe screeched. "And I'm nine and a half you know."

"Nine and a half, excuse me," Mac giggled. "Hey Chloe, my fiancée and I have something to tell you."

"What is it?" she asked eagerly. To her, any news involving Harmon Rabb was good news.

"Chloe, we're going to have a baby!" Mac announced proudly. She immediately had to hold the phone away from her ear, because Chloe was screeching and squealing crazily on the other end.

"OH. MY. GOD!" Chloe shouted. "You are TOTALLY KIDDING! THAT IS TOO COOL!!!!!!!"

Mac grinned. "Thanks," she said. "Hey Chloe, I can't stay on for too much longer, but you can talk to Harm for a little while if you want. I'll see you in two weeks for the wedding planning."

"Okay Mac, see ya!" Chloe grinned.

Thankfully, the rest of their calls progressed with much less squealing and screeching and screaming etc.

"Happy Valentines day, Sarah," Harm whispered. Mac smiled and looked around. Ahh... yes... she was still warm in her bed with Harm by her side. Something she had always dreamed of.

"Happy Valentines day to you too, Sailor," Mac said softly.

"Let's get dressed and fed, then we can take a little walk in the park," Harm suggested.

"Good idea," Mac agreed. "But I need my good morning kiss first!" Harm leaned in and met her sweet lips with his. They held each other tightly and kissed for as long as they could. (This was quite a while since they'd finally mastered the art of coming up for air every now and then.) Finally getting up, they both smiled.

"So, my beauty, what's for breakfast?" Harm asked her grabbing a spatula. (hehehehehe.... who knows what he really plans to do with that spatula. LOL!)

"Eggs and toast would be nice if you're okay with eating almost-chickens..." Mac started.

"Did the eggs ever breathe?" Harm asked.

"I doubt it," Mac laughed.

"Then it's fine," Harm concluded.

Harm spread a blanket on the ground.

"Are you going to tell me why we climbed this ridge with my being two months pregnant?" Mac asked from behind him.

"You'll see," Harm replied evasively. He sat his picnic basket out on the blanket. Harm walked over to Mac and led her to the blanket. "Sit here," he commanded. Carefully, Mac sat down on the blanket. Harm sat right next to her and pulled her close to him. "Now open your eyes." Mac obeyed Harm's command and immediately gasped. There was a beautiful sunset over the rocky mountains and green hills. The sky was all shades of purple, blue, pink, red, orange, and yellow.

"God, Harm, it's so beautiful!" Mac gasped.

"It is beautiful," Harm agreed. "But not half as beautiful as you."

"Oh Harm!" Mac's eyes were telling him what words could not. And he could read them like a book.

"I love you Sarah," Harm pledged.

"I love you too."

(I do have to wonder if they ever got to the picnic... How should I know, this story is writing itself, I'm just the one behind the pen! LOL!)

"Harm, hurry up! We've got to pick Chloe up from the airport at 0830, and it's not exactly a short drive to the airport!" Mac yelled from the bathroom. She came out, rapidly running a brush through her hair. Harm walked over and put a hand on her shoulder.

"Sarah, honey, it's okay, we'll make it," Harm reassured her.

"Sorry Harm, I just don't want her to be standing there looking for us with no one to help her! She's only nine!"

"We'll be there, I promise. And she's nine-and-a-half," Harm laughed.

"Thanks Harm," Mac replied, with a small giggle of her own.

"No problemo," Harm replied, still laughing.

It was not long until Harm and Mac were ready to leave for the airport. On the way, they mostly talked about their wedding and things that they wanted to involve with the wedding. But one other topic came up. Buying a house.

They had known for a long time that it was an issue. They couldn't have children running around the already too-small apartment! Harm and Mac had already looked at a few houses, and were scheduled to look at another that very afternoon. After that, everyone involved with the wedding was going to meet at Bud and Harriet’s house.

Soon they had arrived at the airport. (Everyone please take not that I wrote this in August. The airports are still visitor friendly. As they will be throughout the story because I felt no need to include the horrific truth of September.)

After parking they finally arrived at the gate. “Harm, your mom and Frank are coming at noon, right?” Mac asked.

“1205,” Harm confirmed.

“Then why don’t we just take Chloe around to the shopping before they come in,” she suggested.

"Sounds fine," Harm agreed. He did not sound as happy as usual. Mac was quick to notice.

"Harm, what's wrong? You seem so distant!"

"Nothing's wrong," Harm said quickly without looking at her.

"Harm, you haven't been yourself the whole way here, I think your fiancée, the mother of your child, should know when something's wrong!" Mac insisted. She was getting angry. Finally, Harm looked at her. Ignoring the arm rest between them, he lifted her onto his lap.

"Sarah... I'm so sorry..." Harm sighed. "I've just been thinking.... I don't want... I mean... are things going to... change... between us when the baby comes?"

"Harm..." Mac looked into his eyes. "Listen to me now. I would NEVER let ANYTHING change things between us. We will ALWAYS be the way we are except we will have children to love as well, and of course we'll get older. We don't have to change anything we don't want to." Mac chucked slightly. (What if she chortled? It's funny when people chortle)

"Sarah, thank you so much. I'm sorry I got all like this..." he planted a soft kiss on Mac's lips. Just then, Chloe emerged from the plane along with a flight attendant.

"That's them," Chloe said to the flight attendant. "The ones kissing.

Harm and Mac broke apart with equal looks of embarrassment. They signed papers for the flight attendant and showed her their IDs, then left the gate with Chloe.

"So you two are really doing this," Chloe said. It wasn't a question.

"We are," Mac grinned. "Finally."

"Finally... what do you mean Mac?" Chloe asked.

"I've been... secretlyinlovewithHarmsincewemet..." she rushed.

Chloe giggled. "How romantic..." she laughed. They had arrived at the baggage claim by then. Chloe found her bag quickly.

Harm looked at his wrist. He had forgotten to put on his watch. Wait... it didn't really matter... "Sarah, what time is it?" he asked.

"0932. Two hours, thirty-two minutes, and fourteen seconds until your mom and Frank get here," Mac replied reading Harm's mind. (Not technically. I'm tired of that psychic thing.)
Harm just stared at his fiancée, amazed.

“Thanks, Wonder-woman,” Harm laughed.

“Would it be the supreme insult to call you Space-ghost or should I go with Spiderman?” Mac giggled.

“Space-ghost works,” Harm laughed.

Mac turned to Chloe. “Hey, Chloe, while we wait for Harm’s parents, I thought we could shop around here for a while, okay?”

“Cool!!!” Chloe exclaimed. Mac smiled. The group was passing by a large window for visitors to watch planes take off. One of the airliners was taking off just then. Immediately, both Chloe and Harm dashed to the window. Mac lost it. The site of Harm dashing across the airport to see the plane take off was too funny. Many people around the area had stopped what they were doing and were staring at the odd group. Still laughing hysterically, Mac walked over to Harm and Chloe, who both had their faces pressed to the glass.

“Harmon Rabb Junior, you are obsessed,” Mac declared.

“I am not obsessed,” Harm said indignantly. “I’m just... interested.”

Mac laughed again. “Interested... alot of people seem to think it’s interesting that a thirty-one year old man is running across the airport to see a plane take off. Look around, flyboy,” Mac giggled. Chloe cracked up. She literally fell on the floor laughing. “We’ve made a scene,” Mac told them. Harm put his hand up.

“Sorry everyone, for the scene we’ve made,” he said loudly.

“It was quite entertaining, don’t apologize,” said a voice from another gate. The person was heard very well as everyone had gone silent. At that remark, however, they were all laughing again. Chloe was laughing harder than anyone. They all thought she would explode or something! Giggles consumed her! That sight, of course, only made everyone laugh harder.

“We’d better get moving,” Mac choked out. “Or we’ll become a comic act.”

“I think we already are,” Chloe managed, standing. They laughed and walked off. People applauded as they walked by. Mac reached for Harm’s hand and took it in hers. He smiled and kissed her softly on the cheek.

Chloe just watched them, as they spoke to each other without uttering a word. Even though she had only met Harm once before, she had known from the first mention of his name that he was meant for her big sister. ‘Girls just know stuff like that,’ she thought.

Harm, Mac, and Chloe ran through the airport. They were supposed to be at gate E-12 now!
Finally, they got there, only to see Trish and Frank waiting patiently in chairs.

"Sorry we're late..." Harm breathed. "Mac found a... (breath)... spatula...(breath)... that she just.. had to have." Trish and Frank laughed.

"It had roses on it!" Mac said indignantly. She elbowed Harm. "You know the meaning of roses!"

Harm put his arm around her. "I do understand. Roses are special!" he reassured her.

"Why?" Chloe asked.

"We met in a rose garden," Harm and Mac answered in unison.

"And you didn't run off and get married right away???!!!" Trish exclaimed. "It was a sign!!"
They all laughed.

"I'm hungry," Chloe told them all loudly. Mac's stomach grumbled in agreement.

Mac laughed. "So is my child," she giggled.

"Well, then, lets feed the kids!" Harm decided. "There's a little restaurant a little ways away from here." He pointed down the hall and the group started walking in that direction. As they walked, there was a smattering of applause and even a whistle from a few people. The applause was followed by giggling from the passersby and also from Harm, Mac, and Chloe.

"Why are people clapping?" Frank whispered.

"Long story," Mac whispered back. "We'll tell you later."

"Do you have any other bags?" Harm asked, eager to change the subject.

"Nope," Trish replied. "We packed light."

"Wow!" Chloe exclaimed eyeing their handbags. "I'll say!"
