 Wesimbi looked deep into the warrior's eyes for a long moment. Then he laughed - not accidental as before, but a deep, booming chuckle that sounded like the first rumblings of an avalanche.

"I am beginning to think, Miru-kale, that your little band of followers is not so haphazard as I had thought. The legends of my people do, indeed, tell of the feline companion of this legendary Man...the greatest man to ever live. His selfless love and devotion to his halfblood companions inspired the world."

He was thoughtful for a moment more, walking along slowly. Then he spoke to the Jellicles: "It is told among my people that the descendants of Kaleadora Restil hold in their possession a great treasure - an Object once belonging to the Man, her companion. Do you know it?" His bright blue gaze was piercing.

Kalea glanced to one side as Michael rode up and spoke briefly with Gabriel, and then looked at Nashota. "I...my grandmama once said something about it, I think," she said quietly. "Do you remember, Nashy? It was so long ago...."
