 Gabriel walked along just ahead of his little clan. He could hear the distant voices of Nashota and Michael as they spoke, but somehow he could not follow their conversation. The reins to the horse were held limply in his slack hand until Rio's voice spoke within his mind. ::'Riel? Why not hand the reins to the Jellicle? If anything happens we can send Michael to the air to track Kaleadora and Dante. They will be fine.::

Gabriel nodded and turned to gently lay the reins within Kalea's three fingered hand. Gentle eyes looked up to the Jellicle. "Should you need anythiing just yell. I will come."

Then he turned and walked quickly away. Something was nagging at his mind. Something about the direction that the others three were heading was wrong. In the distance loomed the forbidden mountains. Their caps dusted with snow. And then it hit him. The young clan was heading for the mountains.

::Rio, why would Alexis and Angie be taking the boy to the moountains? There is nothing but death up there. None of them even have the clothes to attempt such a feat.::

Rio looked first to Gabriel and then to the mountains. She watched as the young eagle winged his way ahead. Finally she shook out her coat and trotted on ahead. ::I don't know Gabriel, but I will do my best to find out. Give me a minute and I will get to the bottom of our little clan.:: With that the black wolf disappeared off into the dense forest.

Nashota smiled as she shrugged. "I don't think we have much of a plan right now. It seems to me that we are tagging along behind in order to protect the other three from danger."

She walked along, quiet for a moment and then nodded. "Prove it to you huh? Well now that would be quite a task. I mean, you won't aknowledge your lir. So she cannot explain it to you. You won't aknowledge other Cheysuli. So they cannot explain it to you."

She stole a glance at him and offered a weak smile. "I am glad that you already know who you are and what you were born to be. Because proving to you that you were Cheysuli might be very difficult indeed."

She looked to the mountains ahead and sighed. "I have heard stories about what lays on the other side of those mountains. I realize that it is all just made up things used to scare children, but still."

Nashota turned cobalt eyes to meet Michaels yellow ones. "If you make it across those moountains there is supose to be a whole different world. A world where magic like yours and mine is the norm. And where trully magical beasts live and breed."

::Maybe that is where Jellicles actully came from!!:: came Khanada's excited chatter. ::I mean, you two are sort of unique in a mostly human looking world!!::

Nash bent down and lifted the wolf cub. She smiled at the way the little thing twisted in her hands and layed wet kisses on her face before she could place it in one of the saddle bags. ::Ride here little one. No sense in you getting tired.::

"True Khanada. I never thought of that before. Maybe Jellicles came from the other side." With that she winked at Michael. "What do you think Mike?"

Dante's honey colored eyes gleemed at the Jellicle. He had a secret. A real secret. And he wasn't gonna tell no one. No one but Khanada would know!

As quickly as Nashota place Khanada in the saddle bag Dante wiggled around and lifted the tiny pup out to squeeze her. ::Dis,:: he sent excitedly. ::Dis is my lir. I luv her!!:: He squeezed her again.

The white wolf looked to Kalea, ::Isn't he great? So small... So sweet... And Cute... And lonely.:: She squirmed in Dante's arms and panted as she looked to Kalea. ::It is gonna be great having you along!! Just great!!::

Dante offered the trully bright smile of a five year old. ::Yeah, great!! Jus' Great!!::
