Alexis also rushed to Jeff's side and laughed bitterly. "Yes dear Jeff. You are indeed silly and stuborn for you see..." She blinked away her own tears. "You are wanted more than you seem to know." She gently lefted the boy head so that his eyes looked into her own. "I know at least that I want you around."

She looked around and laugh again softly. "It would seem that Gwen wants you. And like it or not there are others who... If you will but look... They want you in their life."

She sighed as she curled her tiny body close to his. "Please, do not send me back to that camp alone. There are things there that frighten me far worse than you know."

In the shaddows both Rio and Monet sat quietly. They would not show themselves for fear of chasing the boy further away, but they sent warm thoughts and comfort through the mind link for the boy, his saddened lir, and the girl who seemed to care far to deeply.
