Alexis smiled, suddenly shy. "I think I could walk if... Well if you were to help me I think I could."

She could feel Monet's lir link throbbing with life and love. He was close. Close enough that Alexis knew her time with this shy boy grew short. And for a minute her heart ached.

Monet purred loudly through the lir link. ::Fear not liren. Somewhere there is a man who will love you for all the reasons that make you... You!::

Alexis giggled to herself and then remembering what she was about she looked to Jeff again. "Would you be so kind Jeff as to help me to the river?" She fanned herself slightly and sighed. "All that yelling for help has left me DYING for some water."

She carefully lifted herself to her feet and wrapped her arms around Jeff's neck. Her head laid on his shoulder as she 'steadied' herself.

"Thank you again Jeff. You have been very kind." She gently kissed his cheek. "I hope that one day you will allow me to repay you somehow. That is... If we are still friends."
