The corner of his feline mouth curved every so slightly with the hint of a smile. For a monet he could not see anything and the only scent was that of the foul tempered red headed woman-child. She was speaking to him. Shoving at him. She wanted him up.

And yet he knew instantly that something was wrong. Something tugged at his keen mind that whispered of danger. Purple eyes opened slowly and his vision swam as he took in the room. All at once it came to him... He was running, demanding that Angie stop playing and come out from her hiding place, and then darkness.

He lifted his head to look her in the eyes, he wanted to let her know that, while he was weak from the journay, he was whole. It was then that he realized that he had no voice. No words of comfort for her. Nothing. Not so much as a feable cats meow came from his mouth as he tried for the words.

Cocking his head to one side he felt for her mind and found nothing but darkness. He simply could not feel the thoughts and emotions he had always taken for granted.

Slowly he offered his full feline smile and flicked one ear at her in a silent hello. His tail beat out a rythmn on the floor that spoke silently of his discomfort. Yet he did nothing more than reach out one black paw and touch her leg as he nudged her hand with his large head.

For now, Nobel Nomis LeBrandenburg was little more than a very intelligent huge house cat.
