That's terrible. Putting your faith in a medicine, only to find it's doing you harm...I hope the damage isn't irreparable. I'm glad you were able to find other alternatives, because arthritis can be so painful. And as a musician, you must have found it emotionally difficult, too. I imagine there were times when you wanted very much to play something but couldn't.

I agree with you about Bush, only I would take it even farther. I can't wait until Bush is gone because I think his administration (or should I say, Cheney's and Rove's administration) has done more to set this country back, or even put us in the way of harm, than any president I can think of. Stem cell research is just a part of it -- and I agree with you there completely. As the spouse of a cancer survivor, I have hopes that it could help many people who are struggling with a number of illnesses.

Eh, now I'm all wound up just thinking about Bush and this election! So...how's Mrs. Sammy and the kids? The rest of your family?
