Subject: I saw the pig head episode!
In reply to: Sammy 's message, "That wasn't a soup tureen, it was a chamber pot! Has anyone seen that "Manor House" show on PBS?" on 15:16:07 04/30/03 Wed

Could hardly look the entire time - all I could think of was "Babe" (poor little piggie - he had such cute ears, didn't he?)

I don't think the lord of the house was too thrilled either. Did you catch the butler afterwards saying that he didn't think Lord John would trust him any longer after that dinner? I may have missed something, but I am assuming it's because he permitted the chef to prepare the piggie head, as it was more in keeping with Edwardian fare. From what I gathered, it seemed that the lord and his family were cheating a bit when it came to eats (probably sneaking out to the local Wimpey's while the cameras were off - cheeky buggers.)

That chef is kooky, isn't he? Like a French Jeff Goldbloom on speed.
