Because I know what suicide does to a family. they never recover, EVER. You two wernt around when i told this but my cousin offed himself nearly 7 years ago and to this day my aunt is a wreck. when someone kills themself it isnt like murder or an accident that says to the ppl around hey fuk ur not worth the effort of going on have a nice life. Its a cowards way out. My cousin ripped our family apart and to this day its never been the same I will never forgive him for doing what he did to us and your kids would never have forgiven you either.

You didnt say if your husband beat you or not but even if he did you should have gone for help not try to kill yourself. You say you love your kids if thats true how could u bare to never see them again? I will never understand why you did what you did and i dont think you should be rewarded by gettin custody of your children.

Having said that I do hope you get all the help you need and i do think you should get joint custody unless of course he beat either you or them in which case he should rot in hell for eternity.
