Subject: 30 Years Ago ... Today, January 19th

I had won a contest to meet and have dinner with the Rollers through WFIL radio station in the Philadelphia area. It was 50 winners (and we were allowed to bring a friend). While dinner really consisted of a buffet (and not "with" the Rollers), after dinner they met the fans, took gifts and spent time with us. It was the height of Rollermania here and somehow I was lucky enough to win a chance to meet them. I drew a picture of Eric, presented it to him and he made a fuss about it because he is a very nice person. The picture was not that great ... trust me. He thanked me and asked me if I wanted a kiss. All I could say, with an emphatic tone, was "Unh Huh". He kissed me gently and I started to cry. I turned around to the audience and said, "He kissed me" and started to sob. He and the rest of the Rollers went, "Ahhh, isn't that sweet" but not in a nasty way but a kind way. It is a memory I have always cherished. Not a bad way to have a first kiss, ey? Lynne - that is very, VERY cool - 'course by posting this - you must know you're going to be flooded with people wanting a copy of that tape - me included. It is very inspiring to hear from so many of you regarding a possible RS Fest.
As yet I have not decided on when or where a future fest will be....here's the part where I need your help.
I need for everyone who is interested in attending a fest to email me privately at roseyluv@msn.com and let me know where you live. I need your City and Country or your City and State.
This will help me to make my decision on where to have a possible fest. The sooner I get this info the sooner I can make a decision.

Get the word out and let's see where this takes us.

Kim - thanks for bringing that to our attention. I didn't know my letter (bad spelling and all) was published in that paper. I hadn't a clue they would be publishing anything I said. It's a gas though. Appears to me they published letters asking for more pictures. Which brings me to ask: Is anyone seeing the pictures they're talking about on there? When I try to click on anything on that page - it brings up an "error on page box." Sure would like to see the pictures. If anyone can - copy them and email them to me. Can't wait to leave for Florida in a few weeks - hell, even if it's only in the 40's over there it'd be great. Looking forward to meeting all the other fans from this and other boards that are going. I couldn't agree with you more Connie! It is too damn cold! Last night when I checked before I went to bed it was 3 degrees and with the windchill 11 below zero! Now that gets a big BRRRRR! in my book. Hope you have a great time in florida. I did that many years ago and when you get back home it about kills ya, being in the warm and then coming back to reality of winter. We only got about 2-3 inches of snow, so hang in there girl!
