They found her body yesterday just a few miles from where I live. So sad...so very, very sad. My heart goes out to her - her family and her friends. She had walked to the Dollar Store for toilet paper and never returned home. I don't know how the person who abducted her got her into their vehicle but I do know that one of the best ways to get a child into a strangers car is to tell the child that his/her parent(s) are hurt and they were sent to pick them (the child) up. Best way to keep this from working is to tell your children that you would NEVER send a stranger to get them. Also if you were that badly hurt how COULD you tell a stranger where to find your child? I saw this on the news. It's to the point that NO MATTER where you live or HOW SAFE you think your area is, you can't let your kids out of your sight for any reason! My heart goes out to this family & all the families who suffer this crime. We need stricter laws against these offenders (if & when they are caught) They should give these bastards the families! Then they would know the pain they've caused. No trial, no jury...screw that! Shit, just turn them over to my Jim...he'd take care of them & do it for FREE! He has no problem with that! I work in animal rescue and I am always amazed at how horrible some people can be to animals. And animal abusers often turn to abusing children. They had Duncan in the band and Eric had his mustach. We had done our various stunts to try and get near the rollers over the years,without much avail.This night however was different. They played their last song and I told kim,you know what the encore song will be, let run around back. Well we did and as we rounded the back they just finished with a group picture with a fan. Boy did they look good.Then they were herded to their bus and as Eric passed me I said,"Eric I've waited 3 years to meet you". So he turned around and said" Ohhh come here baby" and as i ran to meet him,he was coming back to me an we put our arms around each other and I got the full deep on the lips kiss. And I told him how gorgeous he was and I grabbed his butt cheeks while hugging him and said these are great.He laughed and said "Thank you". Then he had to run to the bus because fans were on there way. My friend Kim had her camera and I asked her if she got any pictures and she stammered yes, you should have seen her face. Well only two pictures came out with Eric and I kissing, the rest were of the sidewalk,shoes,bluurs and a blurry shot of Woody walking toward the bus. We had a 3 hour drive back home to Ohio. It was an hour before I could get behind the wheel to drive home. I still don't remember the drive,just that the nicest cutest man on the face of the earth came back to me for a kiss.Is this man great or what? [ Post a Reply to This Message ]

I'm not a member, but came across your forum, and noticed a number of postings regarding the Bay City Rollers. How interesting, that after all these years, they can still generate such loyalty. I'm proud and glad that my friends and I are not the only ones. Speaking of which, some of you were referring to the concert March 10 at the Winchester Tavern here in Cleveland. (Lakewood is a suburb). My friends and I went to that show, and we had the most wonderful time. Ian did some of the old stuff, and some cover songs from others (the Beatles, etc) He's actually an excellent guitar player.
I took a number of pictures, and we hung around after the show. Did the usual: autographs, pictures, etc. Luckily, we were the last ones hanging around, so we got to hang out and talk to Ian for quite a while. He's such a sweetheart-
too bad he's married, as one of me friends pointed out. Before he and his band left, he invited us (there were four of us who went to the show) to go to breakfast with him and the rest of the band. Unfortunately, we had to decline, but he promised us he'd be back in 5 months- that puts it at about August. For anyone who's interested, if and when he does return, let me know and I'll give you exact directions to the Winchester. It's an awesome place- like the old music halls used to be (in the 60's and 70's)(am I giving away my age, here?)
