Subject: Eric's still gigging in Spain

I thought you might be interested to know that Eric is still gigging in the Mazarron area. I saw him perform of Saturday night (11th Feb 2006) and I asked him for his autograph, had a quick chat and took a couple of photos. It wasnt a Roller gig, it was an accoustic set with 2 other guys and they performed covers of songs by The Eagles, Joni Mitchell etc. Eric was really nice to me and meeting him was the highlight of my holiday and I wasnt even expecting him to be there. I asked him if he intends to stay in Spain and he was non-comittal (although he has a house there so he obviously has ties). hi all havent been on site for a while,saw Les in concert in fareham hamshire (england), he is doing a 30 day tour. we will be seeing him Margate kent on 25th March and in Tanuton somerset June the 2nd, he will be on with Showwaddywaddy and boney m, i am as you know an Eric fan (see pics in mazarron on this site)my best mate is the les fan, god i wish Eric would come back from spain !!

When you want to answer a post, you can erase all the typing in the "Message Subject (required)" box on top and type your message there. (Several lines will fit) Then delete everything in the "Type your message here" box and (N/T) will show at the end of your message so we will know there's nothing more "inside" to read. Kathleen, the book, Bay City Babylon, puts his birth year at 1953. I've seen a couple of other books, etc., that did, also. Hope that helps. Most of what I have that's more recent of their music is cds that I bought of Ian and Leslie onlime. You can go through their websites to get them and Leslie has had his on ebay. I had won a contest to meet and have dinner with the Rollers through WFIL radio station in the Philadelphia area. It was 50 winners (and we were allowed to bring a friend). While dinner really consisted of a buffet (and not "with" the Rollers), after dinner they met the fans, took gifts and spent time with us. It was the height of Rollermania here and somehow I was lucky enough to win a chance to meet them. I drew a picture of Eric, presented it to him and he made a fuss about it because he is a very nice person. The picture was not that great ... trust me. He thanked me and asked me if I wanted a kiss. All I could say, with an emphatic tone, was "Unh Huh". He kissed me gently and I started to cry. I turned around to the audience and said, "He kissed me" and started to sob. He and the rest of the Rollers went, "Ahhh, isn't that sweet" but not in a nasty way but a kind way. It is a memory I have always cherished. Not a bad way to have a first kiss, ey? It is very inspiring to hear from so many of you regarding a possible RS Fest.
As yet I have not decided on when or where a future fest will be....here's the part where I need your help.
I need for everyone who is interested in attending a fest to email me privately at roseyluv@msn.com and let me know where you live. I need your City and Country or your City and State.
This will help me to make my decision on where to have a possible fest. The sooner I get this info the sooner I can make a decision.

Kim - thanks for bringing that to our attention. I didn't know my letter (bad spelling and all) was published in that paper. I hadn't a clue they would be publishing anything I said. It's a gas though. Appears to me they published letters asking for more pictures. Which brings me to ask: Is anyone seeing the pictures they're talking about on there? When I try to click on anything on that page - it brings up an "error on page box." Sure would like to see the pictures. If anyone can - copy them and email them to me.
