IC:The orange flare of dropships lit the smoke-filled sky as one of the titanic transports crested the top of the crater.
The markings on its belly identified it as an Imperial ship, no doubt the one requested by the prince.

Perhaps the prince has more pull then I thought...it takes quite a bit to get a dropship somewhere in such a short time, not to mention during a battle. Cephis thought.

"Prince, I somehow doubt the good Sir Lans will agree to that, and besides, what reason does he have to trust us? For all he knows, we're going to have him imprisoned, tortured for information, then killed on a vidfeed to the entire Empire as soon as he gets on that ship."

"I suggest that we make a sort of compromize...give him a new identity, if you will."

Striding over to one of the fallen Imperial soldiers, Cephis started to remove the corpse's armor and uniform.

"It'll be a tough fit, but I think it will work...we just need to make him appear to be a 'faithful little soldier of the Holy Empire' and have him serve as an aide to you. This will let you make your point quite easily, while keeping this from your father, who I doubt shares your same sense of kindness."

He glanced up from the half-nude body at the prince, holding the bundle of clothing under his arm.

"I trust you see the wisdom in this?"
