Subject: Agent Smith took HardLine and jacked out??

Just wondering, because I've been reading the plot explanations on these forums, which are all excellent, but there is one unexplained fact nagging me :-

- Neo had two dreams :-
- 1 - Trinity being shot(which eventually came true)
- 2 - Agent Smith interrupting two rebels from answering a hardline. He then replicated himself into the body of one, and answered the phone, thus 'unjacking' himself into the 'real world'.

Now this on its own could just be paranoia, but read on.

The afore mentioned rebel (That was changed to Smith and unjacked) also appeared in two other scenes:-

- 1 - In Zion, as the Nebuchanezzar is about to leave, Neo is almost attacked by the rebel with a knife.

- 2 - At the very end, just before the words 'to be concluded' he lies on the bed next to Neo's, and is described as the 'someone' that knows what happened to Neo.

My conclusion from this is that Agent Smith, at some point during 'Reloaded' was able to escape to the 'Real world' or an 'alternate' Matrix, as many on these forums have begun to believe. But, as I have only seen the film once, I cannot be sure if any of this is correct. I hope someone can reply to this post with more facts or possibilities. In any case, I'm sure the Wachowskis will explain everything in November.
