 Yes, you handled it good! Good for you. When I first read your post I was ready to reply without reading further, but you did the right thing. Does he have any order for visitation? If not, he has no rights. I learned this the hard way -when my daughters father was threatening to come by to get her 'whether I liked it or not'. I learned that if he comes to my house, and I call the police, the police will ask for his papers stating he has visitation and it's his day. If he doesn't produce the papers, the police tell him he has no rights to be on your property. From there, you can tell him you would be willing to negotiate in court and you require clean drug results prior to having any visitation with your son. Plain and simple. Don't let him bully you into anything else, and don't feel guilty. This is how I looked at it when I was going through it: If I send her off with her father, and he gets into a car wreck and kills my daughter b/c he was high -I would NEVER forgive myself -nor want to live. It's not worth your sons life!!! Stick to your guns!!
