 Well, I sent in all the paperwork for child support. HE never responded to the paperwork -even after many attempts. Get this: He was playing phone tag with the lady who is doing the evaluation. He would only return her calls after hours when she wasn't at work. She said that she couldn't understand a lot of what he was saying, but the jest of it is that he was trying to tell her that he had joint custody so therefore shouldn't have to pay any more child support! Ha -so funny since he hasn't seen his daughter since June! Anyway -they are proceeding without his cooperation -which means that they are basing the amount of support on my declaration on how much I think he was earning (before losing his job due to meth) and his "Ability to Earn". He will be served on Weds. of our court date and the amount we are requesting. I have to confess -I am scared. I know he is using and I know how he is about his money. When he gets those orders he is going to react. I am unsure how -but I know it will piss him off b/c the amount is high (and I know he will not pay this -so if this is the amount ordered, I probably will not ever see this money until he sells his property or gets clean and gets a job). I went to my daughters school today to ensure that they know he is not allowed to release her from school. They are notifying all of her teachers. I will discuss this with my daughter tonight so she is aware of her surroundings the next month -especially walking home from school. I will also have to be aware of my surroundings. I am afraid of his reaction when he gets served: Crystal Meth and someone taking away money that you don't want taken from you is a dangerous combination. Please send me and my daughter your prayers for our safety.
Court date is set for Jan. 3rd. It will be interesting to see if he shows up or not.
