Ok. What state do you live in? I'm in Calif. I had an attorney do most of my kid related stuff. But can't afford it now so I have been seeing the county facilitator's office at my family court. I have to be there at 8am. I tell them what I want to do and they tell me what papers I need and help me fill them out and file them all for free.( they can't give legal advise though) I think you need an order to show cause that will bring him before a judge to re-evaluate support based on his current employment.
Find out if your family court has a facilitators office and go from there. Also many attorneys will give you a 30 min free consult. See if you can get any info there. Don't give up and don't let him know what you are trying to do.
