Subject: Who Do They Think They're Fooling???

I see this phrase over and over again in the posts and have thought it many, many times myself. In all honesty, I think the person they are fooling the most (the addict) is themselves.

I think they honestly believe that they are with it, responsible, and can handle anything. I think they lie and manipulate so much that they honestly believe what they are saying.

Meth is truly a mind altering drug. I used it a few times many, many years ago. The last time I used it, I was 25... that would be 18 years ago. I remember talking to my roomie the next day on how wasted I felt, but how much control I still had. He told me I was insane! He said that he had never seen me so gone, and I didn't have control of anything. Thank goodness for him saying that, because of his words, I never used it again.

Therefore, from what I read, what my addict has told me, and my own experience, I truly believe that they believe the bull they are trying to lay on us.

For those of us with children, it is up to us (the ones not on meth) to make wise decisions for them. Don't ever think that a meth user can or will make a wise decision for anyone, let alone themselves.
