If he is using and it sounds like he is, this will be a long road and it will be ugly, painful and maybe even get violent after some time. So who do you love more? your daughter or him? He isn't going to change for anyone but himself when he decides. My suggestion is to cut all ties with him and let him fall on his ass cause you seem to care more than he does at this point and you should be focusing that energy on you and your daughter. I know that sounds harsh, but if you stick around and put up with this, you and your daughter will be hurt in so many ways that will not heal overnight. And she does not deserve that pain when she has a mother that can make sure it doesn't happen. Violence isn't the only abuse, emotional is worse.
