i have custody of my grandaughter. her parents are both drug addicts on the run for probation violations. his mom asked the court for unsupervised visits and they agreed, even though i showed proof of her allowing the parents to stay with her and her having been in jail recently for drug use. this is an on going problem. when i asked the court why they were allowed to continually take me to court for visitation that cps (child protetive services) denied, the judge said he wanted to give them another chance, that they are allowed to file as much as they want to bring me back to court. by the way, since they are homeless (other grandma lives in a teeny tiny travel trailor) and poor, their court fees are waived, while mine are not, because i work. cps is nolonger involved because i have the child and have never been arrested or done drugs. i am so upset that the grandma can start taking her unsupervised. she tested dirty recently but the courts don't care.
