I am posting below a copy of a e-mail that Marta sent out to inform everyone what is going on. Fred Hi Friends, I'm writing this email on the behalf of Russ. He wanted to let all of you know that he was in a very bad bike accident last Wed. night. (bicycle, not motorcycle). He broke multiple bones in his face, his nose, his jaw and under his right eye, and he is now missing three front teeth. He is going to have surgery this Tuesday, he will have metal plates and pins put in, along with fixing his nose and jaw and eye. We are meeting with the surgeon again tomorrow morning and will know more of the details. We would really appreciate your prayers during this time. This has been a very painful experience for him, and after the surgery on Tuesday the doctor said it will probably get worse before it gets better. He wishes he could tell a good story of how this happened, but really it was just a freaky accident. He was riding bikes with our boys out in front of our house. He decided to build a couple of bike ramps for them and decided he would try it out on James' BMX bike. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but his face hit the asphalt before any other body part. Needless to say, the paramedics were called and he was taken to the hospital. He was really messed up. He wanted me to let you all know about this and ask for prayer. If you want to send an email to him you should probably use my email address (martabarton@sbcglobal .net), as he won't be able to use the computer for awhile. It's hard for him to see out of his eyes. I will get any messages to him. Thanks for your prayers!
