Well, the Lord took us full circle on this one. Today we saw the dr. that Kevin saw 4-5 yrs. for his dislocated shoulder. We didn't think he had the best bedside manner but found that with surgery invloved he gives you much more of his time and concern. It turns out he is very brilliant! He explained everything so clearly and we are so confident in his approach. He said he thinks Kevin really has a 3 part fracture not 4, being that one fracture is only hairline and this is a really good thing. He is going to try to put him back together but if he can't he will do the hemi-arthoplasty. He is very hopeful that because of Kevin's age he will be able to do this and have it be successful. Please pray for wisdom and discernment for Dr. Tchejeyan and he goes into to look at the situation and Lord willing he will be able to mend what is there and not have to do the hemi. Pray for no pain for Kevin and the peace that surpasses all understanding.
Thanks, Kelly
P.S. Pray for me as I tye his shoes "his" way and drive him around town never to his liking! LOL :)

First off I want to thank all of you that helped us get on the road. We were definately surrounded by your prayers as Dean drove that Motorhome like an offroad car.
We have seen many maricles over the last few days. There is no doubt that our Heavenly Father laid his healing hand upon Michaels heart. The cardiac specialist tell us that there is no sign of injury remaining.
Michael does have a broken left collar bone and number 1 rib on the right. There is quite a bit of road rash to deal with and he had a very painful night trying to sleep in his own bed, but he is home and he will get used to it again.
The doctors at Loma Linda did not miss a beat when it came to the lecture on how it is our responsibilty to never let him ride again. Though it was hard to deal with, I explained to them this is his passion, he is good at it and we will support him the best we can. To that end, his new leatt brace saved his life. If it wasn't for that, his neck would have broken. The broken collar bone is much easier to handle than the alternative would have been. Please consider buying one for yourselves and loved ones.
Please continue to pray for him and us as our jouney is far from over.
In Gods Love,
Annie

Went to the dr. today. Wasn't what we wanted to hear but we know it could be so much worse. Kevin's shoulder is so badly broken in the ball part that goes into the socket, they can't even put it back together. He will need a replacement part (metal). We will be getting some second and maybe even third opinions, but this dr. only does shoulders and was really sure it would need a replacement part. We will be heading down to USC tomorrow for more opinions. This was very surprising news to us. Please continue to lift us up in prayer.
Thank you.

As of 6:30pm on Wednesday night... Jack and 2 of his boys (Luke, his middle son, is stuck down the hill and can't get back up) have spent the past 2 days working non stop at clearing brush and have just finished digging an 8 foot wide trench around the perimeter of their property (about 1 acre!!) They have just recently, after a day or so, gotten their water pressure BACK and their electricity back. With no electricity they have, until this afternoon, been unable to watch any news reports. They have watched the fire slowly creep towards the house, and even now are seeing spot fires TOO close to their house for comfort. At least with water again, they are now able to water down the house and the area surrounding it. They are still battling to save their home...please continue with your prayers!

They have been evacuated since Monday and were just waiting on any word. Some of you may have had a chance to meet Leeland and Hunter up at Kennedy Meadows back in July. They were able to get some stuff out of their home but just the essentials. The house was a total loss with nothing left. Randy Hettema and his family were ordered to evacuate their home, which is even closer to the Agua Dulce fire. Please include our family in your prayers. We lost a loved one last Sunday Sept 30th. Doug Hughes, 41 years of age, from Porterville had a heart attach while riding his dirt bike in the mountains with his son Chad and his neighbors. His wife Pam, son Chad, Bro and sis n law Steve and Janna Hert from Visalia have camped with the Ruts many times. Last time we camped w/Ruts was last Dec at Freemont, but I know Doug would want you all to know he really enjoyed the Desert outings and fellowship with the club. He was a Farmer and owned an orchard spray business.
His interests were Diving, Dirt Bikes, and going on Cruises.
He was one of those "good ole boys" who was always putting others before him and helping out whenever possible. He will be greatly missed.
But I thank the Lord for putting people in our lives, even if it's a shorter time than what we would like.
Godbless,

We need alot of prayer concerning our house in Norwalk.
We need to either rent it immediately or sell it so it does not go into foreclosure.
We are now living in Hesperia and have not been able to get rid of our other house due to the real estate market.
It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, detached garage, copper piping, Large jucuzzi tub in master bathroom, central air and heat. Close to schools and freeways.
If you know of a renter or someone who is looking to buy a house please contact me.

Any Rutsters want to join me on my Cal city to freemont peak to Husky monument to Johanasberg for gas, then over the Rand mountains and back into Cal city for some bush wacking back to the trucks. This about 80-95 miles of fun stuff, and a good training ride for the racers. I miss this ride, it is way cool.

What fun. The weekend was much like our Moto Olympics. Events included Barrel race, obsticle course, can slam, phone book race and a mudd pit. Dean and I took 2nd place in the can slam with the rhino, Michael took third on his yz250 in the barrel race. I ran under a minute on both the can slam and the barrel race with my quad. It really was a fun way to practice for next month.
Michael went off one of those cement water runs off and broke his protapers in half. He walk away with only a few bruises (GOD IS GOOD). This morning he tried to say that his knee pads where no good, because he has a golf ball size lump on his shin. I explained to him, that those pads saved him from a life flight trip and a pin put in his leg. Kids, they think they are so smart.

All in all it was a great weekend, but we really missed our RUTS family.

I just saw the preliminary top ten for the UMC race. RUTS' own Bradley Pace, as an intermediate, is in the top ten for the A course. Way to go Bradley!!! The best part is, every time you talk to him about riding, he's got a smile on his face and Jesus on his jersey!

Hi All,
We want to ask for your prayers for us and for the Nation of Georgia.
Just this week there has been big political unrest.  A new political party was formed and the leader has been very outspoken against the president and parliament.  He has been making lots of serious accusations and really stirring people up.
So yesterday this political leader was arrested for various crimes.  It seems like a political move by the government.  The charges maybe true but the timing if very suspicious.
Yesterday there were big demonstrations in front of the parliament of over 5000 people (that's a lot for Georgia).  No violence thus far I believe.
We need lots of prayer!  God is moving in this country and we do not want to see the devil put a stop to it or hinder what is happening here.
No worries, we are safe and in no danger.  Pray though, that we can be an influence for Christ in this time and for the Peace of the Lord to be present here in Tbilisi and the whole nation.
Thanks so much for your prayer support in this crucial time.
 Blessings from here,
 Dennis and Korinne

A small group of us at our church The Place located in the High Desert in So-Cal are starting a program very simular to yours except it is geared mostly for ATV people.. although dirtbikes and such are more than welcome. I had been looking on internet and all over and not until my supervisor at work told me about your group did i know where to find fellow riders that are Christians! Our goal is to use ATV 4 Christ as a ministry and get together with other Christians in High Desert area to ride/fellowship/worship/and spread the good word.

I am curious if someone in your group would be willing to talk to me about this.. or other ideas as I am still in process of setting things up? Please feel free to check out my myspace page i set up for this program :). It is located below.

Thank you and God Bless!

Ride starts in Mammoth and ends up in Hawthorne Nevada first day. Second day is to Bridgport and Bodi with some great single track. Last day back to Mammoth. We got Christine a new set of "girly" riding gear, so we have no use for her other set. Set includes guy's Fox 180 pants size 28 and Shift jersey size adult small. Both are blue in color and near new. Can bring out to Moto-Olympics if anybody wants them.

Thanks to everyone that pitted, helped and pitched in on Sunday! What an awesome club! Thanks for waiting out my fourth lap. My wife always says I’m a glutton for punishment. She’s right (aren’t they always). I had fun. I ordinarily don’t like getting passed, but watching Brad Pace fly by me was awesome. It seems like every time I see him ride he ups the bar. All the talk about the waterfall caused my brother to wants to see it. It looks like I’ll be riding it again soon. Like my wife says, “glutton for punishment.”
Thanks Again,

Just wanted to let everybody know that as I sit here looking at the mountains that are on fire to keep an eye on the news to see the current wind conditions. I can normally see pretty far towards Lucerne from my house in Hesperia but right now its really bad with smoke. If I here anything I'll keep posting. Lets pray there are no homes in the area and the fire fighters are kept safe.I can be reached at 702-630-8169

I noticed on the home page it is saying October 27th as the date for Motolympics yet the ride schedule has said October 20-21st since last year? did something change? We have been planning for this weekend for some time now as I am sure others have too. We are still doing 3rd weekend of each month, Right? Please let us know and if it has changed someone might want to inform the club of this change? I have not seen anything and the schedule still shows the 20-21st?

Thanks in Advance and God Bless,
Steve
