The memorial service for Jimmy Finnerty was a beautiful one. It was standing room only. There were four Rutsters there, and the district was in full force. At the end of the chapel service, there was not a dry eye in the house. Jim's younger brother put Jim's son on his bike and pushed him down the isle of the chapel, with Jim's helmet on. At the grave side, they started a moment of silence whith reving of about ten four stroke bikes, and then silence, they put Jim's son on the bike and let him rev Jim' bike, again not a dry eye to be found.
The one verse that comes to me about something like this is John 3:31
I was feeling very torn up about not being able to share about the Lord with him on that day when I was talking to him a the pits, but every thing was happenning so fast. When I talked to his father at the service, I asked him how Jim's walk with the lord was, and he said that Jimmy was saved and he was close to the lord. This was what I believe the lord saying do not let the devil have his way with your faith ,and your trust in the Lord. We as humans think we know what is best, but we are to trust in the Lord at all times.
