- Actually 1 second is 5 lengths and it depends on how old the horse is and also how fast the record is to begin with. ie. If you are coming 1 second off a record with a horse that is let's say 15 races or less. Then I would pesonally say that you have a pretty decent horse. However if you are coming 1 second off the record with a horse that is 20 + races. Then I say trash it and breed a better one. (NT) -- DOCWE Lover, 03:20:05 04/09/04 Fri

  - WHAT'S THE RECORD TIME AND ON WHAT TRACK? That's the way to know. Compare the time to other locations. If your location has a fast time on that track then I would say that you have a pretty good horse. If your location's times are slower then S * * * then trash that horse and start again.
