AFF - ABOLISH FORDHAM FOOTBALL!!!
Hey, I heard you missed us, WE'RE BACK!

1. THERE IS NO FOOTBALL TEAM. The actual team was abolished in 1954. It was then revived as Club Football 10 years later in 1964. In all honesty it is STILL a club. A club reserved for spoiled, obnoxious little boys

2. THEY SCREWED VINCE. Fordham never had Vince Lombardi as coach, he was given an assistant position but never head coach. His wife said it always hurt him for the rest of his life.

3. WHY WASTE MORE MONEY? Expenses for the team is over $2 -3 million per year. Revenue is less than $500,000 per year. (these are estimates. exact figures to be determined)

4. MOST OF THE PLAYERS ARE JERK-OFFS. The way many players conduct themselves on/off campus is embarrasing to the other students. This is the only matter that can be explored on a case to case basis. (team grade point average to be determined)

5. NOBODY CARES ABOUT FORDHAM FOOTBALL (EXCEPT FOR EX-PLAYERS AND PARENTS). Attendence at games is sad and even when the weather is nice and the team is winning, no one cares.

Zero Win Seasons: 1883,1885,1946,1979,1980,1994,1999. Any thoughts on this matter?

if you int he dictionary for the word "bum"
you won't find all the definitons, just some
undomiciled, nomadic, these are a few
but there is another type, residing at FU
this type of bum is not without a home
no, in fact, they live like the noblemen of rome
they are the players on a once great team
fordham football, now reduced to a patriot league wet-dream
no heart, no desire, no will to achieve
they would rather sit in bed, pounding alieve
they cry "we work too hard, we sweat too much!!!"
and then wonder why D3 teams eat them for lunch
there's james prydatko the team's "heart and soul"
bitching about practice, i wonder if he has a vaginal hole
then we got greg demarco, the rope-tugging chump
with him on your line, you're headed for a slump
and then there's derric daniels, his boasts cut like a knife
too bad he can't complete a pass, even if it meant his life

so there you have it, some bums are just down on their luck
while others have all the gifts but just plain suck

well its been a while since ive shared my views on this shit fordham football program...here goes:

- first of all, rich marrin steps down from his "prestigious" title of gridiron club president...could anything be any less meaningless?...all the "prez" did was use the garbage team as an excuse to get shitfaeced at every goddamn function so that his stupid white hair could flop all over the fuckin place and he could fall down drunk...and faggots like andreas correale have the nerve to honor this "man"?...please

- the new QB guarenteed a while back that the team was "gonna put on a show" this season...a show?!?!!?...unfortuntaely he didnt specify what and where the show was gonna be...my guess is the show is gonna take place at a bar, and the premise is gonna be about 30 pussy fball players bullying all the small students after they just got spanked 40-zip by a mdiocre DIII team...now that would be a show

- is it any surprise aki jones got cut from the redskins?...this clown walked through all the drills and prob spent more time bullshitting than training...big surprise huh?

- fuck fordham football

Torrington parents charged after teen’s drinking party

TORRINGTON - Police charged a city couple with conspiring to deliver alcohol to minors following an alleged underage party May 5.

Gary Capitanio, 42, and Rhonda Capitanio, 39, 43 Kimball Lane, were charged on a court warrant with conspiracy to deliver alcohol to minors at 10:53 a.m. on May 22, according to a police report. The couple was charged because they allegedly knew their son Nathan Capitanio, 18, was having an underage drinking party at the home May 5, police said.

Police officers learned that several students planned to skip classes at the high school on Major Besse Drive that day to attend the party. When police arrived at the home to investigate, they saw seven underage individuals drinking alcohol, including two males that were "extremely intoxicated," according to the report.

Police charged Nathan Capitanio and Mark Woznicki, 18, 12 Walnut St., with delivering alcohol to minors at 2:43 p.m. on May 5. Another 17-year-old male at the party was also charged with delivering alcohol to minors and using a license not issued to him as proof of age.

Nathan Capitanio won the 1929 Club Football Award this year for his role as quarterback on the Torrington Varsity Football team. Woznicki was a tight end on the varsity football team and a member of the state championship boys basketball team. He was also one of three players suspended from school and benched for the first period of the championship game for mooning a passing motorist on the way home from the semi-final game in New Britain on March 14.

Superintendent of Schools Susan O’Brien said earlier this month the district would probably not discipline the students because the party took place off school property.

The teens are free on $1,000 non-surety bonds. Bail for Gary and Rhonda Capitanio was set at $2,500 each and they are scheduled to appear in Bantam Superior Court on June 5.

No one at the Capitanio home could be reached for comment.

Charles W. Kim can be reached by e-mail at torrington@registercitizen.com.

I don't know who we'd ever have come play a sport at Fordham if they were not allowed to have a beer, cigarette, or other substances under age! I can gurantee you that 95% of the athletes at Fordham have participated in one of those activities before attending Fordham, and so has the rest of the incoming Freshman class. They are kids making mistakes and experimenting, its not as if he was in trouble for 1st degree murder or even tax evasion! Anyway we can close to thread or at least rename it, in case the recruit or other recruits are possibly reading it??

IMHO the actions do not indicate a "troublemaker". First of all, the recruit is also a minor according to CT drinking law. How does one minor "corrupt" another minor. For example, while it has been some time since I read it, I do not beleve there can be statutory rape between two consenting minors. More likely he was also a party participant and either bought the booze with fake proof (who hasn't) or someone bought it for him and he shared it with his friends. When I entered college, the drinking age was 18. The politicians changed the age so there is nothing moral or immoral re. supplying the booze. Had there been booze related accidents etc. that position might have to be reevaluated but that would be the case with any supplier, regardless the age of the drinkers.

Regarding the "mooning"; that was certainly loutish, boorish and crude. Time will trell if this was a onetime sort of happening or indicative of a character trend. For now give him the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully he will not be spending interview time with Jeff Gray, if Jeff still handles those matters.

ASTONISHING.

A bunch of Fat heads and losers who's play is obscene
Last year Forhdam Football had a terrible team
The coach walked away like it was a bad dream
40-0 an albany loss
The player so slow there shoes grew moss
So this year's new coach has another group of bums
After the first practice he'll be all out of tums
You'd think these player walk around ashamed
They are drunk and loud their cocaine nostrils inflamed!
What must be done who can this be changed

11 December 1927, New York Times, pg. 18:
FORDHAM RAM, IDOL
OF THE CAMPUS, DEAD

Rameses, Sensing Doom, Fled
to Botanical Garden, but Failed
to Defeat Executioner

NOW HIS NAME IS LEGION

Majestic Head of Gridiron Mascot,
Victim of Old Age and Obesity,
Will Grace College Sanctum

Rameses, the 109-pound, full-grown Long Island ram, which held up a New York Central Railroad train on Friday after his escape into the wilds of the Bronx Botanical Gardens, and which was the pet and football mascot of the Fordham University student body during the past season, was executed yesterday. At noon Rameses was placidly chewing some grass in a section of the Fordham campus, apparently unaware of his fate, and at 1:30 in the afternoon he was dead, his body being prepared for the college kitchen and his head being mounted by a taxidermist.

Last September, Rameses was purchased by the staff of The Ram, the student weekly publication, to be used at football games. He was fed well, given a large field to roam in and soon, when he was not being exhibited to cheering thousands on the gridiron, became fast friends with Harry, an ancient truck horse whose duty it is to pull the campus lawnmower. The two became inseparable and were often photographed together surrounded by admiring human friends.

But the football season, like all other things in a ram’s life, came to an end. Gone were the hoarse-throated throngs, the pretty girls who had petted Rameses and, indeed, gone was the very memory of the ram, who had only his pal Harry to fall back on. The question arose as to the disposition of Rameses. The Ram staff decided that death should be his portion, in order that his head might be added to the trophies in their editorial sanctum. On Thursday a taxidermist was called on the telephone and told to come to the university on Saturday afternoon for the purpose of foing aaway with Rameses when the students would not be about to see the slaughter.

Seriously, if you think this kinda stuff does not go on at every college in America in some way, shape, or form, your nuts. Every person I know that played a sport in whatever college he or she has attended has been through some sort or type "hazing". i went through it. it happens.
I think the worst of it comes with the recruiting process. That's where the real rules are broken. Does anyone really think that the things that Colorado state got caught doing a few year ago during recruiting doesn't happen at Fordham, let alone every college in America. Strippers, underage drinking, and possibly sex will be offered to get a recruit to come to a school and every school does it

How many Fordham Students were assaulted by some out of control football players?

After few days to contemplate the football game played between Georgetown and Fordham University last Saturday I have a few observations that should be shared. Fordham and Georgetown are 2 Jesuit Institutions of Higher Learning. They are remarkably similar in size of student body, size of campus and mission statement. Both schools are based upon a love of reason, knowledge, science and faith. That said what are they doing with these football teams? Both teams lose over $3 million after revenue annually and do little to increase the notoriety of their universitiy. Both schools support their players with financial aid, that is given based upon athletic prowess. Wouldn't this be better off given to the most deserving academics.
Now Fordham is embarked on a winnless season. I recall after the last time the team went winless for an entire season, the footall team ended their losing streak by beating Fairfield University's football team. Afterwards many on the team went out celebrating chanting: "we beat Fairfield (insert epletive here)"-I guess it was meant as a joke. Shortly afterwards Fairfield University abolished, their own football program. I wonder who the joke was on then?

This will be the 43rd meeting between the two schools on the gridiron, with Holy Cross leading the all-time series 22-18-2. Fordham has captured the last four games, keeping the Ram-Crusader Cup on Rose Hill."

Not only is the winless season of this ‘football team’ an embarrassment to the University, but now they’re going to further embarrass everybody by losing this cup. This season proves that abolishment is on the horizon, especially with the passing of Mara. It'll be funny to see the stands empty at homecoming.

Stop the embarrassment, Abolish Fordham Football.

Hey shit pushers. I came back just to see the stuff you have been writing. You finally have something to talk about. They are really 0-6 and probably not going to finish the season with no more than 1-3 wins but you know what, they WILL be around next year to do it all over again. Say what you wanna say, but all I can say is I left Fordham with a winning record, a nice Patriot League championship ring, All-League and Honorable All-American status, a college degree, a lot of your money that I got back in refund checks, and a lot of great friends for life. So just ask yourself did you really enjoy college if you spent so much time hating us. I dont know. Bujt I do know that a couple of you guys left college with the taste of cum after you kissed your whore girlfriend with my sperm still floating in her mouth you pathetic pieces of shit.

So in conclusion I once again for the second year in a row I extend my challenge to you so-called men. I will once again be at homecoming hoping and praying that those guys finally win a fucking game this year, so once again I ask if any of you have the heart to step to me in person and speak your mind, please do it by all means. then we will he who is the real man. I'll be there, will any of you, I doubt it. You guys probably will be in the village playing with your she-male girlfriends. Anyway just to let you know life is going great, just bought a 2500 square foot home in Deerfield Beach about 10 minutes from the ocean, got a decent new job and I was just wondering how things were going for you guys. Did you take care of that loose asshole situation?

"Well thank goodness the game is over. A bad 26-0 loss. Accolades to the D. As the announcers said, first shutout since 99, first 0-6 start since 99. 99 was our 0-11 year. DD is 1 TD pass & 9 interceptions for the year. Threw an intercept on our final series when we actually had a drive going. According to the announcers, he was noticably liimping and throwing of the wrong foot. Guess our astute coaching staff did not notice. Then again, apparently MF was tried earlier in the game without positive results. I missed that part of the game.

HC was destroying Dartmouth. Lehigh close but losing to Yale. We can mark those down as losses. That leaves GTown, Bnell & Albany. IMO. best scenario 3-11, worst is obvious. Likely outcome 1-10. Great for recruiting after a 5-6 year. Well we can show the recruits the new field and take them to a basketball game.

No more excuses. This program is being destroyed."

there is a huge difference between a bad team and one which embarrases the school....fordham football will always be at best a second rate team, but what is happening now is utterly disgraceful and brings shame upon alumni, students, faculty, and basically anyone who has any connection to FU...the team sucks dick, and instead showing some heart, they put their tail between their legs and wimper on the sidelines...instead of showing some fucking pride, they choose to not even clap or show any passion during games...these pussies should thank their lucky stars that lomabrdi is not their coach, b/c if he was, i can sssure you that either their asses would be kicked daily, or they just would have thrown off the fucking team and sent back to whatever country-club pansy-ass town they came from...so fuck you and fuck fordham football, you BUM

New Yankee Stadium
« on: June 15, 2005, 06:52:16 AM »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heard a report this morning that the Yankees are to build a new stadium adjacent to the present structure. The plan includes leaving a portion of the old facade and stadium in place with 20,000 seats. I presume these are exterior seats rather than an arena. If the presumption is correct, appears to be a fantastic opportunity for FU football to gain access to a stadium that will triple present seating. Of course we need a team and quality opponents who will attract 20,000. Also, the old stadium will hold a "Yankee Hall of Fame" which could add to the attraction, perhaps a football admission & hall of fame admission package. I am not a marketeer but hopefully, for once someome at FU will try to make an opportunity out of thie situation.

HA HA HA!!!!! What a joke!! Who are these people thinking the Yanks would let perhaps one of the WORST college football teams in the nation play in historic Yankee Stadium?!!? 20,000 people??! We cant get 2,000!! HA HA HA HA. What a bunch of bums.

WOW!! FU Football 0-4! Well, I cant say im surprised...after all, football is the last thing on the minds of these no-talent hacks as they stroll down arthur ave. on there way to Howl at the moon drunk (with their hats on sideways) the night before a game.
It's great the university decided to spend millions on putting down that new turf on the field...im sure visiting teams appreciate it as they crush FU football's defense with 60 yard passes and 37 yard touchdown rushes. FU football has moved from being an easy win on opposing team's schedule to a certain victory. Maybe this waste will make the athletic dept. see the error of their ways and abolish this team.

ok, well as we can all see, fordham football is finally letting its true colors show....they recruited some "big" names (pun intended) including that fat rope-pulling idiot greg demarco and they still suck ass.....who's to blame though?...certainly not the players...their lack of passion and heart has to be attributed to the fans!!! thats the only explanation...i oft-wonder what lombardi would think if he ever saw the current players which represent his alma mater walking around in ill-fitting shirts, sleeping all day, and snorting coke...i only pray that Heaven for that man is a place where he cannot see what has happened to FU football....

Here's a sampling from the Fordham Football fans to the defeated season:

Fans are getting sick to their stomach watching this team lose. Unfortunately they are the only ones who seem to care, certainly the players don't. If they did, they wouldn't live at the bars and walk around fat and out of shape.

Fans lamenting that no football player looked even remotely interested in winning. No players were clapping or cheering, let along blocking or tackling
-This is typcal of the coddled fatso's of Fordham Football. Each year brings a new parade of loud, fat losers leeching money and dragging down University morale.

Fordham Football lost just lost to Columbia University. The laughing stock of college football. Now Fordham Football is the laughing stock!

This is no laughing matter. Abolish Fordham Football!

This post is a direct cut and paste from the Fordham Football message board. It can best be described as "LOSER'S LAMENT" an attitude which is rampant among the losers and weak attitude of the Fordham Football team which posions not only the team but drags down the school. Abolish these fat losers already! In the mind of the typical Fordham Football player, everything is the school's fault. There is no accountability, and the last 3 decades of the program surely reflects this loser attitude :

The matter at hand
« on: July 01, 2005, 01:16:17 PM »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I respect everyones enthusiasm about what the program can be but I have been reading alot of these threads and I am getting bored of the same talk about joining these new conferences where the same people are repeating themselves over and over. What is being accomplished by people making mock scheds of who we can play if we were with such and such league. To be honest there is no more use in dwelling on all the possibilities of "hypothetical" situations because nothing comes of it. Being not to far removed from playing I know the chance of moving into a better league is not happening anytime soon. There are a plenty of other relevant situations that need to be spoken about. How can you talk about where we need to be when players who played key roles at Fordham have been icked out the school for next season or the amount of Seniors that are having trouble finding jobs who feel that they were not given the job opportunities they deserved when graduationg from Fordham. I'm talking players who have actually done good for themselves grade wise. God bless Tad, Q, Eakin and Aki for playing at the next level. But it would be nice to read ex player so and so has received a great job at a firm through an alumni who looked back to help his own. I know you guys might think this is b.s. but these are really things that players actually care about. We want to know how much support that we will get after football because as you guys all see we get zero support from our athletic dept. as it is.

First of all, the illiteracy on this page just has to stop. With all the grammatical and punctuation errors, you can't really tell who are the jocks and who are the supposed "scholastics". Who cares how much money Fordham football costs? It is one of the last vestiges of classic Americana that remain here at FU. In a day and age when "Metrosexualism" and "feelings" are embraced, who doesn't want to spend a good old fashioned Sunday watching our Fordham boys crack some skulls? An essential part of college life, perhaps the most memorable part are those crisp fall mornings when you roll out of bed at 12 pm or so, and not being able to locate the half full bloody mary on your armoire, you slip into your Louis Vuitton driving loafers and head over the the football tailgate for a little hair of the dog. Maybe I'm just old fashioned, but in my opinion, that's what college life is all about.
