"The JA will never be perfect "

All the people who belong should aspire to perfection, they should WANT to be like Jesus - kind and good - that is what all Christians are promised. It's no good comparing yourself to something that is low - it's much better to compare yourself to what you ought to be, that is a wise attitude for Christian folk to have.

The JA draws so many people who are looking for God. It's a blessed responsibility - it's a wonderful gift and opportunity to help other people.

I left the JA, not because of the simple way of life, or the unwordliness, but because of the bullying. I could not see Jesus there, in all the bullying and spitefulness. I joined the JA because I thought Jesus was with all the people, but the JA leaders seem scared of Jesus, in case He does anything unexpected. The leaders don't cope very well with the unexpected, they like to have things done the way they want them done, a well worn path. You can't do the spiritual dancing with any amount of joy - it is more like a line dance. Joy is frowned upon, in case it leads to sin. The JA leaders are a frightened lot. Christians are MEANT to be joyful! I remember the fear so well, you could almost cut it with a knife.

The JA saints ought to come here and read these criticisms, because criticism is a good thing and a blessing from God, according to Solomon, and wise people learn from well meant criticism.
