The Ramakrishna Order is by nature quite conservative, having attained a high level of respectability among Hindus, even the most orthodox. As a result, there is a certain antipathy towards Yogananda's Autobiography,it contains far to many references to 'siddhis'for their liking.Probably the greatest factor in their general uneasiness is the antithetical charaters of Sri Ramakrishna and Yogananda.Ramakrishna did not like the limelight and decrid the use of siddhis to gain recognition.I know Yogananda didn't personally exhibit his abilities publicly but his Autobiography seems to be viewed as 'glamourising' the spiritual path and thereby trivialising it.
