A wise course. Besides, Lahiri Mahashaya has written that Kechari happens of itself when the initial purification process effected by practice of first Kriya is complete. It happens of itself because the current rising up the sushumna is so strong it makes the tongue cleave to the palate. What IS helpful is to prepare the tongue for this event so that when it happens you can make the tip of the tongu reach all the way to the bony protrusion of the pituitary gland beyond the nasal cavity. This gradual lengthening of the tongue is referred to as 'milking'
