I do not doubt that Shailendra can put his tongue a little above his soft palette - I can do the same and a bit more than him actually. What I do doubt is whether these pictures indicate the mastery or even correct practice of khechari mudra. There are various things I have read in the old Kriya writings (and also in Hatha Yoga Pradipika and Geranda Samhita) that indicate to me that what he is not demonstrating mastery of khechari. Again, I do not doubt the pictures. Whatever the case, he is certainly not touching the bony potrusion (sphenoid bone) beneath the pituitary which seems to contradict some of the other material on your website (in particular the quote from Frater DPAL and the diagram from Hans' website.)
