Yes, but the TRULY best way to keep this country solvent is to ensure that its citizens get educated and become productive members of society. To turn a blind eye and "hope" they do so would be foolish.

Why do people even HAVE the option of dropping out before a BASIC high school education, anyhow?

Sorry, but there has to be some government intervention to make sure the society, as a whole, doesn't crumble.
