There's waste everywhere, and there always has been. But arguing that property taxes don't need to be adjusted to meet the needs of a growing city? Arguing that a sales tax hike to cover project most citizens would want because there'd be "waste?" If you don't want to pay the sales tax, don't buy. It's an optional tax... one that you can choose to 'contribute' elsewhere... once you pay more gas tax at the pump. Cities getting bigger have bigger costs. Let's see somebody post a history of Pineville elected officials' and their raises... I'd be curious to know what these elected officials make, and have made over the years.
