Why not? There are many novice/intermediate coulples at uni who would struggle in some open comps at novice/intermediate. The standard is not the same so they should dance beginners if the can on the open circuit

Thats true so I think people need to be honestly put into the right category although I thought like Dave that if you are a genuine talented beginner then you could enter beginners and advanced (win them both) because the eligibility for beginners how long you have been dancing rather than your talent which is what the other categories tend to look at?
