• I can only speak to the Cavans and Elites. The first batch of Elites were MUCH better than the current ones which use a stiff leather. They also seem to run very small. • As an ADCRG and mother of a child who was top 5 in O at a young age, my opinion is that there is no need for any make up. It's the dancing that counts. A well fitting dress is all that is needed for presentation at this age. Make up on the fresh faces of little girls is very unnatural, and somewhat disturbing.   • The ugliness happens on this board from time to time. Have you already picked out and registered for classes at new school? If so, tell old TC however you feel comfortable. I told my TC at our school ceili and she understood completely; a friend feared confrontation and sent a very kind letter (printed, signed, PDF'd) via e-mail to her old TC. Be polite, yet tactful, and don't burn any bridges. You will see old TC at competitions and you never know when old TC may become an AD. Great to stay friendly, or at least civil, if possible.
