I would enjoy the crawling time for the moment, I was one of those moms that didn't know how much difficult it is with them walking, I didn't walk her to walk, but I just thought that she couldn't do anything else by walking BOY I WAS WRONG, I don't know how they do it, but they are a handfull ( yes, more! ) . On the helping him walk, I don't think you can do anything more than help him walk with your hands, when he is grabbing onto some furniture try to encourage him to walk to you, but don't be far away, bc then he will think it's to dificult. Maybe getting him one of those walker thingys, Valeria still uses her to play, so I don't think they are a bad investment, specially if you get a fun one. I think that encouraging them to walk is more difficult than crawling, since they can get anywhere like that, so why bother???
Let's hope you have a great walker by the time alanah is here. And just remember, they will fall, lots of times, so don't worry, just keep his space clean of sharp things.
