Hi all,

Thanks for advice re. ear infections and sleep!

Re: sleep--We put Eric down at 11 last night and he CIO for about 5-10 minutes and then was out! I'm going to start with 11, go back to 10:45, etc. It'll take him awhile, but I want to get him down to about 9 or 8 PM. It'll make our evenings a lot less crazy!

Re. ear infections--He had another pain attack last night. We thought, "Oh no!", but then gave him baby motrin, and followed by tylenol about 45 mins. later. He was a lot better in a few minutes. We had tried before the motrin, giving him the drops with the anaesthetic in it for the pain. Lasted about 15 minutes. He slept from 11 PM - 7 AM. Not bad for the little guy.

He has an ENT appointment on 12/31. I'm going to tell this guy about E's problems and ask about tubes. Eric's also going back to the dr. on 12/23 for a follow-up as we're supposed to drive to upstate NY to visit my family the next day. I want him looked at one last time before the holidays.

He is done with the shots you talked about, Denise. He's also been prescribed Biaxin, an antibiotic, which he'll start tonight. The after-hours nurse told us to start him on that before, which we did. First dose was fine. He barfed up the 2nd dose. I told his regular dr. about that and he said to wait until the shots are done, then start him on that. That's tonight. I hope the med. stays down him this time.

Raise your hand if your kid always barfs on you and NOT on daddy!!!! Eric's barfed on me three times and on my husband only once---ARGH!!!!!!!!

Anyway, thanks a lot, gals...

Jill
