My poor little girl, I called my ped first thing in the am, and he said to only give pedialyte or gatorade for 6 hours, bc he needed to get her stomach and colon not to be swollen, to go and get some test done out of her bm and see him in the afternoon. Well, she drank the gatorade fine ( 13 oz until now )but we can't do the exams bc her bm are so watery that nothing can be picked out of the diaper, so they told me to put it upside down, but she hasn't done anything yet. She slept for 1.30 hrs in the morning, and now she is sleeping and going for 3 hrs now, she has a fever and let's out some faint cries. In 30 min we are going to the ped, without the exams, wich he needed but since we couldn't he said to bring her in any way. we are afraid she might have "rotavirus" have no idea what's it called in the US, but it's horrible for babies, fortunatly if she has it, it's a mild case considering the scenerio, my ped told me that last year that same virus got baies in the hospital in less than 2 hrs bc it was strong, but the cases that he has seen this winter are very mild. so lest hope the best, and let's hope he can diagnose without the examsĦ
