Yes they do and a few have been pigging-out at the trough far too long. What does it cost the city and county for crowd control? Why doesn't the Chamber who fronts the risk insurance get a return profit, % of money from the Lava Lave Event? Why must the City run the lava lamp banner thru the Chamber's books? That is easy to answer due to the type of funds used. Why not give every event a $2000 banner? Why doesn't the City get a return on their cost for an event?
The City, you the taxpayers, eat the loss. Any business person struggling to survive outside the OKAY CANNA CORRAL can take it in the shorts. Time for change!

What I hear you saying is just grab the street and hook right to the door of your own business to push your booze and beer sales up. This way the enterpriser does not have to pay for a City event permit, someone else does. Gee.....seems the City is leaving out an important issue here. All Americans support free enterprise, but there is a bad skip in the tape here.

Even the vending at the event was a closed circuit operation, discriminative. Maybe the beer garden should donate it's off the concourse profits to the chamber, the event or city.
