Subject: Saw The Dr Yesterday (UPDATE) - LONG POST!!!

Had my chest Xray Tuesday and was able to read the report before I saw the lung specialist yesterday, who by the way is not my regular lung specialist as he was only filling in for him.
XRay report was good in terms of lungs, no changes to last 2 visits, so in that area things are under control, however the report said that they had picked up: "Apparent distension of the oesophagus. One can see some gaseous distension of the distal oesophagus with a thin oesophageal wall. This is unusual in this age-group but typically seen in patients with connective tissue disorders such as scleroderma".
Having read that - was enough to give me more intense anxiety/panic attack which they have been really bad of late, but in all honesty -- due to my constant anxious state, didn't have time to worry to much about it.
Yesterday had a REALLY rough day again with anxiety attacks, to the point where I lost my dignity to look "presentable" before going to see the specialist. I virtually ended up going in my PJ's, hair up, no make-up a TOTAL mess!!
The lung specialist was actually quite good (for a change), really took the TIME to listen and ask questions. When he read the report, he asked me straight away if I was suffering from indegestion/heartburn to which I said no as I am taking Zantac as I have always had reflux eosophagitis and family Hx aswell.
I was somehow relived that he didn't find the "new finding" of much concern at all as he took into account my anxiety levels etc.
He did check my hands/fingers very closely, eyes, mouth, looked for any swollen glands and even took the time to listen to my lungs (something my regular specialist has never done). He was satisfied and found my lungs clear and didn't find any deformities.
He did order some blood work though to see if it shows any indication as to why I am so fatigued, as he said could be nothing as there could also be something (he didn't appear too concerned).
He could NOT believe that I was ONLY on 2mg for over 20 days now, he said that 2mg was NOTHING and to try and reduce to 1mg but if not comfortable to stay a bit longer.
Gave me the impression that he feels that once I am OFF the prednisolone I will feel better (he didn't say but what I felt).
Sorry for typing so much but really needed to share with you where I am at the moment.
Today, I am very thankful that at least my anxiety is NOWHERE near as bad as it has been, managed to take care of my appearance :-)
Monday have an appoitment to go back and see the breast specialist as my nipple has been bothering me again (for those that may not remember - during a drop of prednisolone, I ended up with one painful breast that had to be aspirated) -- ALWAYS SOMETHING!!!!!!!!
At least today I had a break from anxiety & panic and praying to God that I may continue this way so I can attempt reducing to 1mg!!!! But ofcourse, once I feel settled for at least a week?
I really thank you in you got this far and may you all be having a bit of a better day/night aswell.
Did I ask for anything?? lol - not even sure, just know that I had to come and share with you all.

Lots of love/hugs & prayers to all,
Tiffany
xxxxxx

P.S. Didn't check for any spelling, so excuse me for them.
